Swansea head coach Luke Williams:

"I feel very disappointed that we started the game fine and then the performances just evaporate, fall off the edge of a cliff. That's really upsetting, really worrying. I believe it's the occasion.

"We have failed to perform at a consistent level but today, the stark change in our performance from probably half an hour in, we started to lose a grip of the game, we started to give away a lot of corners and free-kicks and then we suffered so badly.

"So many players suffered so badly and got worse as the game went on… I imagine it's a lot of to do with the atmosphere. I think the opposition could feel that and did a brilliant job to heap pressure on us when we felt weak."

He's probably lost the dressing room after his WBA comments.

Luke off to the Netherlands

Luke Williams is set to fly out to the Netherlands this weekend as the club assesses alternatives to Wycombe Wanderers star Joe Low.

It's understood Williams is set to cast an eye over two possible centre-back options, with the club seemingly no closer to a breakthrough in negotiations for Low, who had previously emerged as Swansea City's top target this January.

Surely all of this should have been done before the January transfer window opened? Wtf have our scouts been doing between the summer and December?

Exactly, all of that should have been done before the transfer window opened. We should have a list of players ready to bid for. Wtf have we been doing from the summer until January? The whole recruitment process seems chaotic. If Low is unavailable we should be ready to bid for the next target. We are wasting so much time. Before the transfer window opened he told us we had a list of transfer targets.

Swansea City transfer bulletin as club consider player swap in bid to land Joe Low deal

Swansea City are considering a player swap in order to tempt Wycombe Wanderers into sanctioning an exit for top target Joe Low.

The centre-back is at the top of Swansea's January wishlist, and has already been the subject of two bids in recent weeks. However, the Swans have not yet been able to find a breakthrough in negotiations.

I hope we have a backup plan in-case the Joe Low transfer falls through.

"Harry Darling has been here trying to get ready for the game, he travelled on the coach for four hours," Williams told BBC Radio Wales Sport.

"He's a doubt for the derby because he is injured. I was trying to get him ready for this game.

"We did everything to get Harry Darling fit. Ben Cabango is still having treatment"

If he was injured then why did he travel?

Preston North End and Plymouth Argyle are now both believed to admirers of the defender, with reports elsewhere suggesting a price tag of £750,000 has been put on Low's head.

We were linked to Noel Milleskog last summer. That has gone very quiet.

There is no economic logic in keeping Darling.

The fact that we are in this position is a disgrace. It's clear the club has not learnt its lessons from Piroe, Obafemi and Ntcham.
