I fully understand the annoyance of throwing in the towel in the second half but I think it was a tactical decision from Marti. The board stuck with Marti when things weren't going well and he stuck with Ashby and Madsen for similar but also slightly different reasons.
One argument is that Marti gave Ashby more time to try and rectify his mistakes of the first half. He didn't but if he did we would be talking about how Ashby showed his professionalism to keep a cool head and show us there's a decent player in there after all. If he'd come off at half time his confidence would have taken a severe dent and who knows how long it would take for him to recover from that and that's not what we need from a player on loan.
Madsen is different in that he's had enough chances to prove he's a footballer and he's decided it's not his preferred profession so that should be last we see of him. The reason I say it was a tactical decision is because our squad is still a bit thin despite most of the crocks returning. The January window is gaping so if we need to get rid of a few and get a few in, the message has been sent loud and clear who we need to replace/send back and I'd much rather he did that in a game we lose every year than against Plymouth/Hull etc.
Annoying but can see why he did it....but that's only my opinion of course.

Oxford had only won four games before Xmas have just won three in a row.
OOPs, BBC table was in real time, thought they were going to be on 30 points with their first win away but no, on 27 points. Still, they were joint bottom Xmas eve, now 18th. Gotta love this league. [Post edited 1 Jan 14:59]

Shirley Marti's 'multi year contract' extension ties him down at least for a year? Can't see him going anywhere until he has finished a season with us sitting proudly atop the mid table huddle. |

Probably too early to say he's had a dramatic fall but Chris Willock should be playing at a higher level but suddenly doesn't seem to care....which made me think of Adel....what a waste of talent.

Enjoyed the film of the same name so expected a bit more meat on the bone with the story being split over six episodes. In the end six wasn't enough as they were constantly skipping past years and that's a shame as there was so much more that could have been included.
For example, there was next to nothing shown of his dedication to improving the car and how he physically drove it differently to everyone else. All that being said, it was very good and he's still the Messi of F1 for me. Such a shame that he had to die before substantial changes were made to driver safety.
*Edit* Putting on my little pedantic hat. The credits average out to around 12 minutes long and if you cut them out, episode four is only 40 minutes and episode six is 46 minutes. The rest fall short of the hour so, yeah, I know, I'll take the hat off now. 12 minutes of credits though, wtf! [Post edited 10 Dec 2024 23:02]

If it wasn't a 'like' every five seconds it was an 'um' at the slightest hint of a pause. Todays annoyance is "I'm not gonna lie". Well that's awfully decent of you chap but you could have just chosen to tell me the truth without the unnecessary preamble. Which, unfortunately, now makes me believe that you may indeed be about to lie.

So the TV is connected to the router via an RJ45 cable and not Wifi?
If it is and you've got decent internet speeds, say, 100Mbps+ you should be good to go.
