Our sequence against Weds at home in the league right now is win, loss, win, loss...

We might be due another win.

I will say something for it...a porridge and soup diet doesn't half drop the weight off you.

Ashby injured or hooked?
at 10:12 23 Jan 2025

Did a quick count back and Chair had c.125 professional appearances by the time he was 23.

Ashby isn't good enough and won't make it to the potential he showed in the Prem puppy farm. I know it sounds a bit obsessive but he'll be another Toddy Kane.

Dry socket
at 14:59 22 Jan 2025

I know I've mentioned the dentist before on here but I had to have a tooth out on Friday - a back molar.

It was OK until Monday and then the pain's started. Been back to the dentist and I have a dry socket; the clot to protect the gum has fallen out. He's cleaned it all out and good pain relief now (so good, so so good).

I have never known pain like it...anyone else suffered with this?

We didn't stay for 90 at Leicester; cold, getting rained on under the roof, too foggy to see much, 5-2 down when we left, etc.

He's done every game so far and is planning on doing them all.

My son - JnrJnr - has done every game this season, including the 2 this week. He got in at almost midnight after Plymouth because of the trains, and after 3 this morning after getting the club coach.

Kane was, if you remember, banned for 7 games for racist and abusive language. He's currently tearing it up at Ebbsfleet United with Alex Aoraha (formerly of this parish), bottom of the National League by a considerable distance.

Southampton plus?
at 14:58 19 Jan 2025

We know they'll be down next year. Is it possible that Spurs or Everton might join them? Spurs are a clusterfúck right now and being beaten 3-0 against a pretty poor Everton team. I can't see Moyes turning them round like this every game. Might we be seeing one of the 'big' teams coming down?

The Handmaiden is outstanding.

Gladiator 2 is silly and as long as you go in not expecting too much it's a fun romp.

I thought Nosferatu was brilliant. I loved the Witch and the mood in Nosferatu was similar but on a much bigger scale. Bill Skarsgård and Lily-Rose Depp were superb.

I've tried to watch Emilia Perez twice and I can't get engaged with it. I'm not a fan of musicals and the set piece jolly tunes and dancing seem at odds with the narrative.

Now we're in my playground of diversity

This by Paul Wolford as Special Request from the Lethal Weapon is immense:

The last Causa Sui album is superb - Danish prog rock/jazz:

I'm a massive fan of these and this is their best track:

The excellent Karma to Burn who did pretty much instrumentals only - RIP Will Mecum:

A mist opportunity as Foxes hit QPR for six – Report

It was moved at police request - that might be BTP with lots of teams coming back into London at the same time, policing split across the football and rugby, traffic around the city, or any combination of these and anything else.

For avoidance of doubt, there is an orange version of the ball which could have been used without pissing off sponsors and ball suppliers:
