Did anybody else notice that piece of skill by Eze mid way through the second half? He was running with the ball in our half and had a player available wider and further forward. Instead of doing a conventional through ball he did a side-heel flick thing without breaking stride, the pass was inch perfect and he just continued his run forward. A proper showman.
Agree with all those mentioned so far. Love DaveBâs youtube channel. Interesting that nobody has mentioned the official websiteâŚ
Not strictly a QPR website but one I use quite a lot for looking up our old players is this one. Although it can be a bit buggy with all the ads etc, itâs very useful for all those pun threads that we all love
As you allude to in your OP I donât think this is just about last night. Weâve seen them field weakened sides for years and we have the worst record in the 3rd round of the FA cup of any club ever i believe. Our record in the league cup in the last 35 years isnât much better either. Then we often follow it up by playing a crap league game, so whatâs the point.
If you look at yesterdayâs selection and performance in isolation it wasnât bad at all but because of whatâs happened in the past weâre more sensitive and critical and itâs completely understandable.
I thought he showed signs of improvement in his overall play, movement and fitness yesterday but itâs difficult to judge at this stage. 5/10.
*Edit. Which reminds me no player ratings this week? Also I didnât notice any âPics from yesterdayâ from Sheffield Weds on Saturday. Canât find the staff these days ;)
Cook was excellent. Varane and Madsen in midfield showed real promise. We lacked/lack physicality going forward and I suspect that will become a theme this season. Frey and Dunne aside.
*Edit I forgot to mention I thought Joe Walsh played really well too.
