Or is he a twÃ¥t who got lucky with a very well run club. There’s an argument you could say the same for Potter at Brighton. Both clubs carried on seamlessly after Jones and Potter left. |

French Science Fiction drama Missions is currently on BBC4. I love a bit of SciFi and this is really good. A billionaire funds a mission to Mars but he’s not telling the crew the whole story. When they get there they find a long presumed dead Russian Cosmonaut. It’s much much better than it sounds. |

Hara-kiri (1962 version) Japanese Samurai film Masaki Kobayashi I love a Samurai film and this is the best one I’ve ever seen. Totally gripping but very grim storyline about a down on his luck Samurai exposing the hypocrisy of the Samurai code and way of life. A completely unseen but brilliant twist in the tale takes it to even greater heights. All rounded off with a cracking sword fight. After that Some like it hot, LA confidential and Filth are all great films. |

I’m not interested in what you regard as a harmless gesture. I’m interested in putting out our best team to win a football match. It doesn’t matter if it’s the last game of the season or not. If Holloway picks people just do they get the opportunity to get a cheer off the fans then I think it sends out the wrong message to the other players; if the Manager’s poncing about with selection based on non footballing criteria then why should they be bothered. If they want to do something for departing players then do something on the pitch after the game with an interview and short speech type thing. What HollowY is suggesting is something that Captain, Racist, bellend did and should not be allowed anywhere near our club. |

It has been reported a couple of times now in West London Sport that Holloway intends to pick Mackie @nd Perch before the end of the season purely so that they get the chance to say goodbye (and vice versa) to the fans. Maybe Mackie can be substituted off at a pre arranged minute during the game and a guard of honour formed to rapturous applause and tears all round. Regardless of what you think of Mackie or a Perch as players and their service to the club, picking players solely to give them the opportunity to say goodbye is cringeworthy and Terryesque. |

But he scores from very close range with great regularity. I’d love to see all his QPR goals in a youTubey type highlights thingy. I’m amazed he’s still laughing and got a great attitude after being regularly slagged off by Holloway. Feed the giraffe and he will score. |

He’s not been charged according to this report. He’s been arrested. The only aggravating factor could be, like the chap shot by the farmer at his remote farmhouse some years ago, is if the fatal stab wound is in the back. It could be argued that the burglar was in the process of running away when he was stabbed which could be considered to be unreasonable and not proportionate. Which is why that farmer stood trial. |

If it’s a simple case of elderly homeowner kills burglar in a struggle then not only will there not be a trial but I would suggest that the circumstances could be fully investigated without even arresting the elderly gentleman. This seems to me to be a clear case of the local Police not having the bottle to do the right thing, they have abdicated responsibility to the CPS by just nicking the old boy to avoid any criticism. He should have been interviewed under caution, no arrest, no time in a cell, CPS could have been consulted while the old boy has a cup of tea at home....or someone else’s home. |

Not the most dramatic of fights but AJ did what he had to do, a disciplined and intelligent performance. |

Price took a right to the temple and it scrambled him. He dropped his hands completely and Povetkin had a free shot with a left hook. Price ko’d. |

Oh dear. Price has got to hang up his gloves after that. |

Haven’t enjoyed watching both the Adam Booth trained fighters tonight. Too flashy by half, bordering on being disrespectful to their opponents. |

I agree. I’ve also heard Joshua talk a couple of times about the possibility of being beaten in the build up to this fight which Ive never heard before. |

I take it from that you’ll not be watching it then? [Post edited 31 Mar 2018 18:16]
