What's better? A yo-yo club or mid-table Championship? 14:22 - Jan 6 with 646 views | saints__fan__73 | With the utterly clueless SR in charge we will never be more than a yo-yo club meaning that every time we go up we will have a season after with zero enjoyment for fans. Is doing this better than being an established mid-table Championship team like Norwich, WBA, Coventry, etc who at least give their fans an occasional goal to watch and will win more than they lose at home. We can think of the PL again when the big boys f'k off to join the ESL.

What's better? A yo-yo club or mid-table Championship? on 14:31 - Jan 6 with 623 views | obelisk | The yo-yo soon loses its bounce. Saints current destiny is to join the likes of Norwich, WBA, Coventry, etc as Championship also-rans. That's if we're lucky.

What's better? A yo-yo club or mid-table Championship? on 15:39 - Jan 6 with 542 views | DorsetIan | This season makes you realise just how entertaining a proper relegation battle is. Watching your team barely able to score a goal, let alone win or avoid relegation is a very different sort of horrible.

What's better? A yo-yo club or mid-table Championship? on 16:01 - Jan 6 with 509 views | saint901 | As a fan I'd prefer to see us have yo-yo seasons because there is always a chance that one promotion may stick and we can be in the PL for a while. As a realist I'm aware that the present owners do not have the funds or the strategy or the management nous to keep us in the PL and that every promotion would be followed by a relegation. That I can stomach if the contest for the bottom three is close but the events of this season are impossible to be objective about. It's one thing being ill prepared for promotion but it's another to do nothing about it and allow such an embarrassing spectacle to continue. Sadly I agree with the OP that until the "big 6" join the European Super League, we are unfit for the PL and I fear that the damage of this season will require more than one more season in the Champ to correct. Our few PL quality players will be gone this month or in the summer. The Champ level players (AA, Bednarek, Wood etc) will be gone in the summer. Those who are not good enough for even the Champ will go back to where goals are easier to come by.

Definitely. This season hasn't been a battle, we've had a few of those in the past, this season has been a white flag capitulation without even firing one bullet and we're only just half way through. God knows what is left between now and May

6 more points hopefully - in order to beat Derby's pitiful total!
