New Year transfer window rumours 23:44 - Dec 17 with 37002 viewsbosh67

QPR WANT NORWEGIAN FUTURE STAR
According to news outlets in Norway, QPR are interested in signing Tromso striker Lasse Nordas. Lasse is only 22 yet has heavily impressed during his career in Norway so far. He has featured for the Norway U21s on several occasions netting 3.
This season, he has 13 goal contributions within 28 games in the Eliteserien. He also netted 2 goals within the UECL qualifiers.
Valued at £1.5million, QPR are not the only club interested.

What's that Lasse? Someone's fallen down a well and you haven't scored a goal in 4 games?

Never knowingly right.

Schluup is 32, injury prone and not particularly good - sounds like he would fit right in

OK re Schlupp but with several questions.
"Has got two good years" - has he really?
At what level? He can't get in a struggling Palace side.
Does he want to? Or move to MLS and wind down on big bucks.

Who knows, not me! I hope they'd do some due diligence, take references, chat with him, all that. Not my job, happily.

Yeah, he can't get in that Palace team ahead of Eze, Clyne or Lerma. None of them are dropping to the Championship for a good few years. That Palace squad is underachieving for my money, though.

I doubt it'll happen. But if he's fit and motivated, even a 32 year-old Schlupp improves us. We need another left-footed wide player this window who can cover Saito and especially Paal better than Ashby or Fox, I think.

Can't see us buying him.
Against our model.

As a loan, perhaps but a lot of his data, I doubt fits in with our way these days also.

He would be quite expensive also.

The only thing that makes me think it could be possible is his versatility and in particular in three areas where it would give us added depth ie left back, left midfield and centre midfield.

Clearly has been a top quality player ie been part of squads that won the premier league, F A Cup and title winners in the championship and at 32, possibly 18 months of potentially decent performances.

But for me, too old, too many injuries and past his best. A player coming here for his semi retirement is not the type of player we want today.

Think we have had our fingers burnt with this type of recruitment too many times in years gone by and the other factor, he won't be cheap.

Next !!
