Cardiff City V QPR.FC Match Thread. on 01:38 - Nov 28 with 3075 views | FredManRave | Words fail me,except for the ones I'm about to post! Celar has to be MOM because, whilst he and Nardi both played briliantly, there was a lot more pressure on Celar to perform, aka, hit the onion bag and he did it twice and in style. And it was great to see all the playes congratulate him and the recognition he received from the players at the end of the game. That was obviously due to the fact they would all be getting their first win bonus since August, which means that they can now afford Christmas presents for the family and friends, but good to see all the same.

Busts a gut to get back, robs Willock, straight back up again to try and join the counter attack. I know it's his job, but I love his commitment.

Cardiff City V QPR.FC Match Thread. on 22:06 - Nov 27 by dmm | Talk about winning without the ball. We had 32% possession tonight. Cardiff are absolute crap. They couldn't beat us with 68% possession. |
We were 2nd best on every stat. Except the most important one!! f

Spot on. Said it elsewhere. The second stems from him tackling Willock when they were in a dangerous position. Tackles matter. You can transition to attacks when the opposition isnāt set when you make them. We still donāt make enough of them as a team. Cardiff made more tackles and more than double the number of fouls as we did, yet they were only out of possession for 32% of the game. We have been out tackled in almost every game this season.

Cardiff City V QPR.FC Match Thread. on 08:53 - Nov 28 with 2032 views | Hugey | A random thought from last night. Others have noted a few little glimpses of people's characters/ relationships from the coverage. Celar's sheepish smile and being mobbed by his team mates. Madsen was even spotted geeing up his team mates at one point in the second half. Obviously the result helps, but I certainly feel more positive about both players today. I think I have two points. 1) The benefits of players showing a bit of personality and being demonstrative on the pitch. Fans see it and warm to it. That probably doesn't come easy for more introverted characters. But it can buy them credit with us. 2) Back to the current comms vacuum. The club could help by giving us a bit more. Who are these guys? They seem like decent group, who care, but when everything is so closed off and 'managed' it's easy to assume they're not fussed, especially when we're losing every week.

Cardiff City V QPR.FC Match Thread. on 21:58 - Nov 27 by mart_Goblin | Thatās a nonsense post . The reason why everyone has been so disappointed with him is because we all want him to do well . And heās been awful . Iām so pleased for him personally and those scenes at the end were wonderful, almost emotional. Why canāt people post without having a dig at others ? Heās deserved the criticism simple as that . Tonight he deserves the plaudits . Thatās how football works [Post edited 27 Nov 22:09]

Agree. It's an unfortunate trait, that the self righteous always have to have the last word. Glad you enjoyed Celar and the win...I know I did. Big up for Nardi too.

We seem to have a good record at Cardiff too. Wish we were playing them every week. I'm not going to think about Watford for now. Wish our home record was s good as our away oneš [Post edited 28 Nov 9:46]

Agree totally. That tackle freed up Ashby (I think) to make what seemed the only real positive pass out of midfield in the whole night. We seem afraid to spread the game out, constantly making short passes that nearly always result in us getting dispossessed but at the same time mean we stay defensively sound. Fair enough in games like Cardiff who looked a carbon copy home side as us, but weāve got to learn to tackle and more importantly have players who are actually ready to capitalise on that. Madsen, that means you. Great result but thereās too many strollers in the middle of the park.

Just about everyone here from the top of the hierarchy to the bottom was saying the same thing, so no idea why you'e chewing this guy out. What we can all agree is Celar answered his critics handsomely on the night, even if he still need to up his all-round game significantly, and the criticism has been deserved. One, or even two, Slovenian swallows don't make a summer, but his confidence should be through the roof now. We won that game through resilience, great goalkeeping, and two moments of quality. Much of it was hardly convincing, and we were mostly outplayed, but the points are gold/goal dust right now. A point at Waford and then 4 (or better 6) at home to Oxford and Norwich, and things will be looking up. [Post edited 28 Nov 10:05]

I was working last night and couldn't get to Cardiff - second win in a row I've missed at one of my nearest grounds! Great for Celar, great for the whole team. Especially pleased for the Rs who went last night - I bet that was a bit nippy! Only adrift by 2 points now! Come on U RRs

Last season, when we were struggling, I was so sure we would lose a game, I told my son I would eat broccoli if we won (I hate broccoli) and guess what, we won (beat Millwall 2-0 at home) and I had to eat broccoli. Last night we had cottage pie with some veg for dinner and my son passed me some broccoli and said I should eat it, as it might help Rangers get a win..... Guess I''ll be eating some broccoli before the Watford game on Saturday.
