The 2024 relegation thread-oh: Week 38 10:27 - Mar 12 with 6675 viewsBluce_Ree

It's crunch time.... in my PANTS!

In terms of the teams we can catch this week, the table looks like this.

Plymouth - 41 LWLLD
Blackburn - 41 DDLDD
Stoke - 41 LLWLW
QPR - 39 WWWDL
Birmingham - 39 WLLDL
-----
Huddersfield - 38 LWDLL
Sheff Weds - 38 WWWWL
Rotherham - Dead LLLLL

Tonight
Birmingham vs Boro - Boro on the back of two wins, Brum no win in 4. Hopeful.

Saturday
Birmingham vs Watford - Watford in shit form, hoping Brum are knackered by the weekend. Worried.
Ipswich vs Sheff Weds - Ipswich in third and looking to rectify a loss last game. Hopeful.
Boro vs Blackburn - not arsed. I feel like Blackburn will escape but they are in shit form. Hopeful.
Plymouth vs Preston - Plymouth in bad form. Hopeful.
Rotherham vs Huddersfield - most worried about this one . Hudds to win. That said, at least they've stopped that freaky voodoo bullshit where they win when we win. Worried.
Stoke vs Norwich - pretty hopeful but Stoke have two wins in three. Hopeful.
Sunderland vs QPR - five losses in a row but the Boil c*nt has gone. Charity Park Rangers to the rescue? Long trip to the shitty North East? Smells like defeat. But equally we are the finest football team etc etc. Worried.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

This post on 82 minutes from the BBC made me chuckle:

"We're approaching the witching hour now (in footballing terms, anyway) and Birmingham have just shaken the dice for the final time and come up with Tyler Roberts, who's on for Alex Pritchard."

I then got nervous when they followed up with this:

"Roberts hasn't yet found the net for the Blues - now would certainly be a good time to change that if they're going to get anything from this game."

Thankfully it didn't happen. Fingers crossed 'Boro have something in the tank for their next fixture, Blackburn at home.

We all know when that first goal is coming

Although I think we can find another two worse teams, still agree with many posters here : we need to focus on ourselves to fight each game like our lives depend on it to get all 3 points, game after game till the end of the season, no quarter given, none spared

Poll: Isaac Hayden - Yes or No?

Birmingham looked very poor. Having Dozell, Laird and Roberts can't be easy

Do you think we put a clause in his loan that he has to play against us?

I know that realy is pulling the donkeys tail

captains fantastic
Poll: SWEET F'IN CAROLINE. Played every half time

Glass half empty... I think we could be back in the bottom three with results like this on Saturday:
QPR draw at Sunderland
Birmingham beat Watford
Ipswich beat Sheffield Wednesday
Middlesbrough beat Blackburn
Plymouth beat Preston
Huddersfield beat Rotherham
Stoke draw with Norwich

Stoke 42
Birmingham 42
Blackburn 41
Huddersfield 41
QPR 40
Sheffield Wednesday 38
Rotherham 19

But, I am no forecaster and it could all look better than that if... ...

Birmingham in terrible form and Blackburn dropping like a stone....would be one hell of an effort by Eustace to take 2 teams down this season.

Stay away from negative people. (Albert Einstein)

But here anyway so......

6th favourite for relegation currently on Betfair. Around 11/4 behind
Rotherham, Sheff Wed, Huddersfield, Birmingham and Blackburn.

It's not crunch time. A point a game will probably be fine and if Cifuentes is any good at all that should be comfortable whatever Saturday's result.

Impossible to predict how those results will pan out. If nothing else results to date from bottom of the table clubs very unpredictable. Would not be surprised if Wednesday get something at Ipswich and Rothers do Hudders. Not many saw us beating Leicester at there gaff . That’s the agony and sometime ecstasy of the championship. Fingers x we get something out of the Sunderland game.

No. Sorry about that. Score one more goal than Sunderland do and it would all look much better!
