Were we in turmoil v Charlton and Luton or just from today?

He means Shrewsbury.

I don`t see finances as the main reason for our struggles against wealthier clubs. Look at Bradford and Accrington. You would think they should be the other way around position wise in the league table, but they aren`t. Our troubles are caused by the managers insistence on playing a certain way and the players not being intelligent or skillful enough to carry out these orders. You can hammer a square peg until the corners come off and it goes into a round hole, but what is left of the peg once you`ve hammered it like hell? We try to play too cleverly from the back to the midfield. We are too predictable attack wise and its a miracle Hendo scores as many as he does. He would score 30% more if he wasn`t played in midfield, where he is a liability. Cannon and Rathbone should be utilised more frequently. Wilbraham, Perkins and Norman should never get anywhere near a first team spot. I`m not a fan of McNulty either, but we have better rersults with him in the defence than without him. Stop over complicating the tactics. Sign a leader as we haven`t had one since Gary Jones. We have a decent squad at this level and shouldn`t be hammered by anyone. Money or lack of it isn`t the problem, lack of heart/determination/intelligence is. I`ve yet to see a player having to drag himself off the pitch after giving his all this season.

That last sentence seems to be a tad harsh.
I've never faulted the commitment of the players.

I'd agree with that, particularly looking at recent games like Charlton and Luton. In fact, I'd probably add Doncaster to that, even though it was a game we lost. There were also late equalisers/winners versus Blackpool and Bradford.

Don’t know, but surely the reason for sending a player out is to give him gametime

You might assume that but it might also be the case that he is homesick, He is from Denton I think, so if he simply can't enjoy being based in Nottingham, then a move to be nearer home and a chance to get fit and maybe get a feel for how other clubs operate might not be a bad move.
Alternatively, he might be a complete pain in the ariss around the dressing room and Forest just want him out.

HE will only get fit by playing, he surely was training at forest . If his attitude is wrong , surely we would just send him back . Homesick? It’s a short drive back?

IF his attitude in training at Forest wasn't good, perhaps they thought some Hillesque no nonsense coaching (get the impression he doesn't suffer fools) would be just what he needed.
Regarding loan deals can the receiving club send a player back? I think suggesting he might have been homesick was just surmising. Surmising myself here, if he saw certain people every single day whether they be family or friends if he can't see them as often now it could lead to homesickness.

Isn't it often the case a team ups their game the first match after a manager has been given the boot, or do the stats not actually back this up and it is a bit of an urban myth?

By and large it's an urban myth.

Swindon 0 Carlisle 4, for example.
