My wonderful second daughter was born a week ago. For those of you who have the good fortune to know about these things everything went perfectly. Labour was quick, gas and air, no stitches, water birth, and she's already nearly 200g above her birth weight. We are thrilled. The only that went wrong...the only thing...was that as I was carrying her out of Chelsea & Westminster for her first trip into this fascinating world the receptionist called me back and thrust a gift into my hand.
