Preston Train Tickets Required 11:43 - Feb 24 with 3691 viewsslranger40

AS usual, find myself able to go last minute to Preston.

If anyone has a drop out on train tickets and is looking to sell on please let me know - prices are in the stratosphere as ever last minute.

Let me know if this comes about.

DM if preferred.

Thanks in advance.

Just looked - too late in the day for any impact. Still quoting nigh on £90.

As we have only sold about 400 for this i'm probably on slim pickings here. Always worth an enquiry.

Anyone see the Newcastle fan a few weeks ago who somehow bought about 20 serperate tickets or more to get as cheap as he could to Oxford and back?

How do you do that?

Lots of hard work and time to search all the different possibilities.

Then his bird fell over on the way into the ground and they had to miss the match to go to the hospital!

Practise, time, knowledge of the network.

Young North and me went to Plymouth from Sheffield for one of our games there once on 24 separate tickets - 6 legs each way each.

Apparently they're removing all these possibilities shortly to "simplify the ticketing for passengers". Which is absolutely wonderful, because I'm sure they'll definitely leave all the £20 Sheffield to Plymouth, £18 Newcastle to Oxford journeys and just take away all the expensive ones. Can't wait.

Thanks for all the input Gents.

On the coach front - thats nearly a 12 hrs round trip for me and the fun / comfort levels are way too low. Been there no thanks.

I've paid top wack before and it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. This isn't a life or death situation so if something comes up great.....

Thanks for the thoughts. Shame our train system wasn't built for spontaneity. Sure it costs the rest of the economy a fortune.

I've done this before too.

Euston to Bolton in 2012 (Clint's "goal").

Involved four different trains there and three back for about £16 return! Including a 2 hour wait in Preston and 1 hour wait in Brum on the way back all by myself, the things we do for Rangers.
