Vividly remember standing in the Paddock when a husge mob of West Ham ICF strolled in and started tring to bait him. They started a chorus of 'wife beater, wife beater....' and he turned to them and snarled 'Yeh, that's right' They thought it was hilarious and cheered every touch after that for a while. It was hilarious.
I seem to recall reading something a couple of years ago that he'd done whilst at the club and Ian Stewart had to leave because of it? Or Barron stitched up Stewart in some way?
I can't remember the exact details unfortunately, but it tarnished my memories of him from '86 as a result.
