Looks like Kyle Bartley wasn't brought back to be sold elsewhere.
But with Monk injured for god knows how long and and the staff not even sure if he will ever return, it's not surprising Bartley was recalled with only 3 other fit centre backs in the squad.
Without Monk, centre back was the position with least cover of any with only 3 players for 2 spots.

Think we should move away from this buying average and players for the future. Can't remember this ever working too often. Its proved this season take 5/6 out of our best X1 and we have struggled.

take 5/6 out of most teams and they will struggle - some far worse than we have.
