Looking at the run Brighton have coming up, I don't see them being in trouble for much longer. For me the only result that matters is Cardiff's. Burnley and Newcastle will be fine. |

Maybe in January if we are in a similar position to last year. He's not an investment and it would be seen as wasted wages. I'd like to see him here but I just don't think the money men at the club would. |

He is fairly solid, but didn't he set a new PL record for the number of OG in a season, by netting 4 times in his own net! Not convinced he is a massive upgrade on what we have already. |

I think we will sign 1 CB. That will give us Yoshida, Hoedt + the new guy with Bednarek as a decent backup/prospect for the future. I would like us to get Mawson but I'm not convinced we will get him over the line. At 24 he fits our profile and we should easily get a return on investment, so I expect Reed is sold on it, but he may have better (e.g more money not necessarily better for him long-term) offers that his agent encourages him to take up. |

Sturridge was never coming to Saints. We only really deal with Prem clubs when selling. We would never pay a fee to loan someone, there is no profit to be made. We sign players with resale value. Carillo will have been right on our upper age limit. 2 years and gone if a success at 28. Cash back and profit made. With Sturridge its 1.5m loan fee and wages with £0 return. The fact his goals could keep us up will not have been a consideration IMO. |
