I am desperately hoping for a convincing Blackpool win for no other reason than it heaps further pressure on KOKO as he would have less reason to dispense with Riga, and it would further isolate him as it would be obvious that Riga would have the unqualified support from the players and the majority of the fans. I realise he may not be as forthcoming in the press as some would like him to be, but when the Chairman refuses to back him ,he is in the dark on the way forward, and which players he might be allowed to sign, I think his silence speaks volumes |

I hope he turns his back on some of the crap he receives on the other site and would welcome him here. Regardless of who's father he is he comes across as a truly genuine fan ,who has no time for the Oystons |
| Forum Reply | Joe Lewis better than Gilks at 20:43 27 Aug 2014
Gilks played his first game last night, and must be gutted they got beat by the massive, as I cannot see him getting much game time. I think Lewis has been one of the few positives over summer, and I think it was the right time for Matty to move on |

No way is this a thread supporting the clowns thrift, but rovers are definitely going shit or bust.I know they beat us,but that can hardly be counted as a meaningful scalp.Their losses last financial year an eye watering 36 million gbp, wages 121% of turnover. |

The opening poster is correct, we played like a bunch of strangers- no suprise there then! How many times did we see two players challenging for the same ball, or a pass into a space where unfortunately no one was running. Couldn't really take any positives from last night, but don't want to be too critical of the players. The worrying thing is we look very unbalanced and woefully short of midfielders, which they dominated. I know he has his critics but Angel would have walked into that side last night and improved us, pity he won't just take the 60% pay cut and come back, but Oyston will probably just do what he did to GTF and reduce the offering still further. |

Is he really that bad he shouldn't be given a chance? I only saw him play a couple of games as a winger, but maybe he is better in a more central role. I don't think I have seen enough of him to genuinely say he is not good enough, remember Leeds view of Crainey and Leicester view of DJ was they were cr*p |
