Everton Game Tickets
at 19:25 17 Apr 2025

Yep, so anyone buying a ticket, COULD be asked to collect their ticket from Goodison Park with ID, to reduce the risk of it being sold on. There are Everton fans on social.media offering over a thousand pounds for a ticket. If you buy a ticket and sell it to an Everton fan you could be in big trouble as both clubs know about the goings on! And you would have to travel all the way to the ground, to then pass it on if that 2as anyones intention. I think it's a good idea. It would be a big security risk, if loads of Everton fans were in the away end.

The Next Managerial Appointment
at 13:30 17 Apr 2025

The problem is again, any manager will struggle, if those above the manager, don't get the recruitment right. This is partly why so.many managers have failed, particularly in the PL, where it's absolutely essential to have QUALITY players, or you won't survive regardless. We try to make a profit and do things on the cheap. Easier to compete in the championship, but if and it's a big if, we go up again, we will struggle again, with SR because they arn't prepared to spend the money needed on the team. Managers arn't miracle workers, they need to have good players, particularly in the PL, where it's just about money. I hope it's Rohl, but he needs to be properly supported.

What is free speech?
at 12:48 17 Apr 2025

Interestingly, yesterday the court stated that only a biological man can use male spaces like toilets and only a biological woman can use female spaces. I think that's sensible but it's only come about because "men dressed as women" were using female spaces, saying it was their right. This is an example of where we have to be careful about what "rights" people have, and where freedom of speech is so important.

Yep, totally agree. but the debate is, I guess - what about the person who does have a problem with calling a biological man a she? What if they are religious and have a certain view? It could be argued as discrimination when should it be? This is what is causing the debate I would guess, and perhaps why some voted for Trump because they feel that they can't say everything they want to say.

This debate is interesting and is current. I think most would agree that people shouldn't he able to say anything that incites violence and / or could cause harm to anyone. But the debate is spoken about a lot and Trump's election is a symptom of how people feel (in America anyway). It's mostly about the LGBTQ / gender debate I would think. Are people allowed to say freely that they think being gay / trans is wrong or a trans woman competing in female games is wrong? To be clear, that's not my view at all, and would wholly disagree with anyone who said it, but should people have the right to say it, to agree or disagree with something if that's what they think? Are we in a world where we don't know what people actually think? It's easy to say anything that the world / people want to hear, but it doesn't mean they think it or say the same behind closed doors.

There is also the debate about being able to offend (or not). Are you allowed to say someone is fat, or looks like an alien, or they address a trans person as he when they want to be called she, if that's what they think? It might make them a horrible person, or maybe they just think a man is a man and a woman is a woman or perhaps they are religious. But are they allowed to say he to a biological man in a dress, if they wanted to? I think these issues are what it's all about because in America anyway, many felt strongly that they weren't allowed to say things, because they might offend or they were being forced to agree with things they didn't agree with.

5 Things About Aston Villa Game
at 16:20 15 Apr 2025

The 9 nil was a "Premier League" record defeat, yes equalled by Bournemouth, and Ipswich, but it happened twice to us, in successive seasons wasn't it? That's quite harsh on the fans, In amongst all the other thrashings.

And please tell me why you would send on loan, in January, the Play Off winning goal scorer, a hard worker, a striker who at least can score a few in the PL and has a bit of quality, when we were struggling to score? It's madness to me, unless you are going to replace him. Why would you bring in Groenbaek, Juric was in place, when we bought him but then not play him? Again, it's madness and bad decisions.

Charlie Alcaraz who does have quality and who playing regularly for Everton creating and scoring goals, a quality player and we sell him! It's mistake after mistake. I can see why we are rubbish, because the decisions have been terrible. It didn't need to be this way, that's the point.

And, yes it is embarrassing to be the first team relegated from the PL with 7 to play and it's embarrassing to be only on 10 points. If you're okay with this, not bothered, not angry, not embarrassed, whatever you feel that's fine - no problem.

I actually think the fans deserve better, but that's just my opinion.

Interestingly, the odds have shortened dramatically on Gary O'Neill in the last few days. I assume he is out of a job, and has some connections in the south after managing Bournemouth.

That's another question.

Who Sport Republic really are?

Secret members of the Pompey development brigade.

Members of a secret group- how we can torture and tease the community.

Associates of Jeremy Beadle.

Honestly, another waste of money. I hoped they would have learnt when they bought Carillo in January a couple of years ago. These owners really are hopeless. I saw fans covering their faces with their hoodies and scarves after the game Saturday because they were red in the face and so embarrassed.

The club of Embarrassment
at 12:12 14 Apr 2025

Can anyone think of any other records that could embarrass us further? No wonder the ground was empty at full time Saturday. We are being totally taken for granted, and they better sort things out quickly next year, or this club will go to the dogs.

Two record nine nil defeats.
26 PL defeats is a new record.
Successive home defeats is a new PL record.
2 relegations in 3 years.
A new striker that we bought 2 years ago, and now he has just played his first PL appearance because Saints decided to buy an injured player
No strikers at all, apart from two injured ones and a a youth player.
6 managers in 3 years.
Relegated with 7 games left is a new record.

Surely there must be some more records we could get??????

The club should be paying us, not the other way round. They better reward the long suffering fans with season ticket prices next season.

I have also never seen St Mary's so empty on 90 minutes either. But this club and these players are giving us nothing. About as much resilience as an ant.

As you mentioned in your report Nick, why an earth did they send Armstrong on loan? We don't have anyone at all all up front. It's terribly run. No striker at all??? No wonder we are the worst team ever, just to add to two record 9 nil defeats that nobody else has suffered.

Every team has too much quality, and we don't have anyone, literally nobody who is capable of getting a couple of goals or scoring a free kick.

I thought we mught get something at Spurs, who had lost 5 in a row or get something against Wolves at home. We don't have any quality up front whatsoever. We cant score. It will be another defeat, as Bowen breezes through or one of their other quality players.

Southampton V Aston Villa The Verdict

Yes because if we don't park the bus, we are 3 nil down inside 20 minutes.

It's an absolute nightmare for any manager, trying to get a result with terrible players.

Forget bouncing straight back to Premier.
at 23:18 12 Apr 2025

I am worried, I have to admit. Thing is, you can have a disastrous season, but then regroup again for the championship. It will be a totally different team next season and new manager. We did that last time, and came straight back up after relegation. Burnley and Sheff Utd have bounced back having a good season after relegation, doom and gloom. So hopefully, we go again next season. But will we go straight back up again, after a second relegation? Something tells me it won't be as simple as that 2nd time round.

However - these owners are dreadful. They get everything wrong. This record breaking disaster of a season will take some shaking off, the embarrassment, the negative environment. We will have what is likely to be a completely new team, with a lot of upheaval and players wanting to leave. If we don't make it back up at the first attempt, we will just keep losing our best players etc and these owners will be more and more tempted to save money, buying potential. We could also have a lot of players sulking, but refuse to move because they want to keep the top money they are on here. Apart from the obvious ones who will leave, who is going to buy Sulemana, Ketchup etc? They will likely take the money and sit in the reserves sulking. I am assuming that Dibling will be sold.

As much as we could come straight back up, we could easily go the other way with this lot in charge. It wouldn't surprise me if we don't sign a decent striker again, miss out to Ipswich, Leicester, Birmingham etc for the best players or try to do things on the cheap and end up struggling, with more manager comings and goings. At the moment yes, it's all doom.and gloom.

He definitely has his eye on his next move. But I am also not convinced that he is anywhere near as good as the hype suggests. He is not as good as Fernandez.

It doesn't matter who is manager if the team is that bad. Ralph had the same problems as anyone, when we got rid of Broja and Ings and didn't replace them. And every manager since. If the team can't score, you can't win games. Had we brought on Watkins today, it would have been us who got the goal. It's that simple really. The other teams have much better players, where it matters, than we do. They score, we don't. And it's because they have better players with more quality. This is all on the terrible recruitment that the owners should have been overseeing.

Good point well made. He will be one of very few here fighting for the Saints next season. The rest of them as you say, won't be here.

Ramsdale, Walker Peters, Fernandez and Stephens were giving their all today. Stephens will be the only one still here next season. The rest are just going through the motions.

I thought Stephens was one of our better players. At least he fights hard. We know he's not very good but he does put a shift in.
