🔴 Likely candidates for the Swans job
at 21:43 17 Feb 2025

And also, look at Oxford since they got rid of Buckingham & appointed Rowett. For me, that’s yet another cheap option. I’m all for giving a young up and coming manager a chance, but in our position, we need experience, because the alternatives aren’t worth thinking about

Exclusive : Chaos in the Swans boardroom and chaos on the pitch : Sponsors leav
at 10:55 16 Feb 2025

What worries me is looking at Venkys at Blackburn. Everyone knows their unpopularity, yet they’ve been in situ since 2010. At a club that’s won the premier league, & now has been a very average championship club since about 2012. Now they lose a manager to a relegation candidate in the same league? What does that say about their ownership?
I’ve often wondered why, if they are so unpopular with their fans, why don’t they try & do something about it after all these years? Maybe they’ve tried in some ways (I don’t know the ins and outs), but ultimately they’re still there.
My point is, can you imagine what life would be like here if we still had Coleman et al in charge in 2035? That really concerns me, as by then, we could be seeing us just being an average championship club a distant memory.
I can’t make the forum due to work commitments, but I hope that whoever does go, gets some sort of answers from these amateurs, rather than the usual club propaganda.
I bought a ticket (through the app) for the east stand for last Wednesday’s game. When I got there just before kick off, I noticed that the ticket that came through on my phone, was for a seat right at the top of the west stand. Just about sums everything up at the moment.
A chairman who doesn’t know what staff to employ, a new dof who is data driven, a manager who’s out of his depth. What could possibly go wrong?
Worrying times ahead

Plus our record up there is pretty average to say the least. Really, really hope that I’m wrong, but I just can’t see us getting anything tomorrow.

Just found out that Stoke are the lowest scorers in the championship. That stat absolutely fills me with dread!!

I was thinking this. Ginelly, Parker and to a lesser extent, Cooper, will be like new signings due to them all being out for so long.
I’m going tomorrow night, & it’s the first time in ages I’m going with a very cautious optimism after Sunday, although the little voice in my head is telling me to stop being so naive!!
Another 3 points would be massive though, all things considered.

It’s not being emotional at all, & I support my club no matter what, but the same failings season after season after season has led us to this point, & it makes fans angry. I can’t go to the forum, but if I could, I wouldn’t be turning up with pitch forks etc.
The fans have been made promises that haven’t materialised yet again, & Coleman can work as hard as he likes, but he should have appointed someone with experience in transfer matters before this window. That’s his job, which I’m guessing he’s getting paid handsomely to do.
I want him to succeed, but I’ve seen zero evidence of that happening

Can anything be done at this forum to kick these people’s a#*e into gear? The last one didn’t seem to do much good, & aren’t we going to hear Coleman’s bs & excuses all over again?
I’d absolutely love to be wrong on this, but once bitten……

Swansea City in absolute joke mode after deadline day
at 11:44 4 Feb 2025

Hi everyone. First time poster. I joined the forum after going to the Coventry game, as I felt I had to contribute, considering what’s been going on at the club.
What we saw on Saturday was alarming. No fight, no passion, no pattern of play, no pace. No nothing. You’d have expected better considering the run we’ve been on, but it looked to me like a team waiting for relegation, & I think we all know the reasons why.
To then have the window we’ve just had, after all the promises given by the hierarchy, is beyond unacceptable.
Wrong people at board level, at management level, & on the pitch. If a ship had no captain and competent crew, the ship would just drift away, and eventually hit the rocks and sink. No difference here, & I just can’t see past relegation, or extremely close to it.
Having lived through the winding up order in ‘85, & the Petty era, this feels very similar to those times, & I think things will get far worse before they get better, unless things drastically change, which I doubt very much.
Hurts like hell because we’re a laughing stock.
Can’t wait for the cricket season to start!!
