Barcelonaesque .... Not so much 05:29 - Oct 27 with 3068 views | AshleyCCFC | Don't get me wrong you have a group of players that are a team, you play to your strengths which is why you have stayed in the Premier League so far. But you lot aren't half full of yourselves, you keep it on the deck with no attacking penetration. You create very few chances and although pleasing on the eye one very good piece of football in 90 minutes isn't really moneys worth for your homeless fans. After watching you for 10 minues Thursday night it was obvious to see that you have a striker who plays completely different to your style of play and if teams figure you out early enough you will very much struggle this season. Although atleast you've done it the right way, going into administration, paying your creditors a penny for every pound you owe them, not owning your stadium and struggling to sell out a small stadium in the premier league. All the best for Sunday anyway, you lose you are dragged into that relegation battle, and with teams starting to figure you out after a few years in the league it could be difficult to stay out of that bottom three, but here is too your homeless problem, your council run stadium and your terrible city. May the best team win

Barcelonaesque .... Not so much on 05:39 - Oct 27 with 3057 views | joswan17 | Someone looking for a nibble... Okay, I'll play along. Struggling to sell out a small stadium in the Premier League? Alright, the Liberty is the smallest in the League, but this season is the first time in the three seasons we've been in it where we haven't sold out a home game. All 38 home games before this season were sold out in the home end. Sooner be bold enough to admit defeat and get back on track, than be taken over by foreign owners changing things left, right and centre. Red? Bluebirds? Umm.. that should cater to your need for attention and nibbles. As for the Derby, it's not at the forefront of my mind at the moment. We have a game before we play you. You can wait your turn.

Fair assessment ? I’ve just watched their incredibly limited team being battered by a Norwich team who will also struggle to stay up this season. But, instead of talking on their boards about how their problems could be corrected he comes on here talking about a 10 minute spell in the Swans game on Thursday night. He then fails to mention that the lineup had 6 changes from our ESTABLISHED PL team from the previous Sunday when we not only created numerous chances and scored 4 goals but Sunderland’s MOM was their keeper who played superbly 2nd half to keep the score down to 4. Then he falls back on that old chestnut, finances. That we don’t own our stadium. The fact is that ANY team can ‘own’ their stadium if they’re willing to go £100 million in debt. In actual fact that means that CCFC don’t own their stadium. VT does. It also means that CCFC don’t own their Training facilities. VT does. It also means that CCFC don’t own their players (their transfer value). VT does. On the other hand the Swans DO own their Training facilities (value £15/20 million). And the Swans DO own their players (their transfer value — conservative estimate£70 million). I presume it’s an attempt to deflect attention from their team’s struggles. It didn’t work Ashley. It just didn’t work. John

You lot were exactly the same when you got promoted from L1 to the Championship having spunked millions on players like Willie Boland FFS. And just like the FA cup win in 1927 where a welsh goalkeeper threw the ball in his own net to you cheated to get promoted, Sam's goon setting off the fire alarms in the early hours to disrupt the sleep of the entire QPR squad. Your club has no shame at all. Not even after prostituting yourselves to first Sam and then the Malaysians.

I doubt you'll get many, if any, points after Christmas when all Milky's running around, lower league cup tie against superior teams, approach catches up with you. No matter how many players you pack your goal line with, you're f****d.

tbf he's got 1 thing right: We do things the right way - sound financial management, well-respected playing style, record for unearthing gems at rock bottom prices, record for bringing through youth and Welsh players, very astute board, one of the best-respected chairman in the league, succession of successful managers, touted as a model for a well-run club, etc., etc. Proud to be a Swan

He started off well, just like the other Cardiffians have on here lately in their opening posts. They then revert to type and can't resist the digs as their posts transpire.

Barcelonaesque .... Not so much on 12:57 - Oct 27 with 1936 views | JesusJack | Not biting to this particular beaut but one comment that he's made that I've never got is that "Teams will figure you out." nonsense. As if football is all just one complex algorithm that managers and coaches are frantically scribbling on a blackboard until, by jove, they have the answer! Suddenly, they have all the cheat codes to beat any particular team they want. Stoke have been playing a fairly one dimensional brand of football that everyone and their gran has "figured out". Doesn't make them any easier to beat though, does it? So, how do you figure us out? Sit deep and pack the defence? Invites pressure and is only a matter of time before one pass gets through. Push up and pressure us high up the pitch? Leave gaps in your own half for one ball to split you open. Stick tight to the danger man (Michu)? He'll open up space for others, unmarked, to exploit. Pin our full backs down? More room for the wingers and AM's to operate. Everybody loves to simplify the game, but it just isn't a simple game at all. Teams know we like possession, build from deep style of play, but doesn't mean they can just use that knowledge to beat us. They have to have the players to be able to do it as well. Question is...have you?
