Couldn’t see that.

Bizarre decision. Must be based on short term performances.
How would we feel if we'd had to sell Gyokeres, Hamer and O'Hare yet still remained competetive

Prime example of someone being sacked because of overinflated expectations of the club due to previous over performance by the the same guy they are sacking.

Mad when you compare their achievements over the last few seasons with ours. Imagine getting to a play-off final and cup semi-final!

Probably sacked for failing to beat us though.

You may be jesting in your last sentence but on Faceache there were some Coventry fans wanting him out after our game. It appears many of their fans expected them to be top 6 this season. Expectations eh?

They deserve to be where we are now after this.

I think he has done well.

The club probably think they will appoint the guy that will now get them promoted.

Good luck with that one Coventry !!!

Forget worrying about where he might turn up next as manager, I'd be more interested to know if he still has his boots and can he play Saturday ?
He could literally limit himself to the centre circle and still be more effective than most.

Coventry's owners have taken one look at the way QPR are being run and said 'hold my beer...'

Ellis Simms is what did it for him.

They sold Viktor Gyökeres for big monies and a sell on. Had to be done. But when you spend £8m on Simms who is nowhere near that and never will be, then that is a lot of the Gyökeres money was wasted. Which it was.

Then Robins had to stop playing him, as he's crap and then people have to start asking why did you spend all that money on him and not play him? Is it because he's crap and you have wasted £8m?
Answer is yes!

So, now you have lost the Gyökeres money and have no replacement for Gyökeres. This means your getting closer to QPR rather than Burnley. Going backwards.

Simms has 2 goals and 1 assist in 12 games. Frey with rubbish QPR has 3 goals and 1 assist in 10 games. So, what's the difference? £8m that's the difference. Simms is there Celar, but cost way way more. Sure he has two goals, but he's still not worth £8m.

Thats why they sacked him. I think its a mistake as bad buys happen, but you have to ask will this manager likely turn it around. With Robins the answer is yes. Can we get crap Coventry to get a manager in who is better? The answer is probably no. So, why risk it?

Now, if you tell me Fat Frank is on the way, well, you are now asking for it Brum style.
I notice Eustace has Blackburn up to 9th now and 2 pts off 6th.

Some clubs don't learn. Sometimes, the manager is great, but they can only work with the tools available. True, they make mistakes—playing Andersen and Madsen at the same time is a mistake. But the ones who learn from their mistakes are the ones you should not sack, as the ones who replace them could be Paul Hart or worse.

If I was Robins I would wait a while until one of the bigger champ clubs with money sacks their manager and then he can go there and get an upgrade on Cov. Norwich perhaps or even Burnley if they start slipping?

zzzzzzzzzz

So basically a Ned Zelic, Simon Osbourne, Mark Hateley type scenario.

Let's be fair though, it would give us hope of finding 3 worst teams than us this season?!
