Abdulai linked with West Ham and Bournemouth 09:59 - Sep 7 with 6053 viewsDaPs166

What does everyone think about this? Heard one news source comparing him to Jude Bellingham.

From what I’ve seen I’m wondering what drugs they’re on. But Williams may be playing him out of position? I’d like to see him more central to see how he does.

I can't remember him having much of an impact for me that season, tbh I can't remember him playing at all. Possibly because they were u23s then not u21s and he would have been way out of age.

He needs a bigger spade to dig deep.

I remember clearly. Swansea generally rarely pick overage players. Whatever the title Swansea players were all u 21
undef Jon Grey and Anthony Wright.

Ok then, what was he excellent at when he was out injured most of the season? How many games he played in did you watch?

What are his appearance stats for thos seasons?

I will have to consult b my diary. My rate is £30 per hour.

As you can remember clearly the 21/22 under 23 season, in what matches was he a standout player. It would help jog my memory because for me there were none.

Abdullai joined the club in the summer of 2021. I saw him a handful of times on that season 2021- 2022 and in my opinion he was a standout. He has developed nicely since then and should in my option be playing as a box to box midfielder in Williams s team.

You are welcome to disagree.

Which games. All you have posted is the a brief resume from the club website. Surely if he was standout you can remember. I'm disagreeing because the only game I can find is against Wigan at the end of the season when he got sent off. I didn't watch that because it was away.

I have claimed Abdullai was a standout player for the u21 since he arrived in 2021. Proof of this is a contract until 2026. It is my opinion and it is up to you to prove it is invalid if you want to.

I do not have to validate my posts. I could but that would take time which I am not prepared to waste on the likes of your good self and your sidekick.

From caught offside.

"From a West Ham perspective it’s clear that James Ward Prowse isn’t part of the long term plans at the club after he was loaned to Nottingham Forest and they could be looking for a younger more talented option to compete for a place in midfield."

Swansea continue to under value players in the building. Obviously there is an element of hype here. ( To say the least)

However one has to ask why a plodder like Fulton has been keeping him banished on the wing.

He’s not more talented than James Ward-Prowse.

Regarding your last point, I’d much rather see him in the middle than Fulton.

You are claiming something from ersonal knowledge though, when it is clear you have none. You're makingthings up again.

All I have seen of Abdullai is in the first team, played out of position. In that role he has not been good. Play him on his rght position se we can judge because until then it's hard to judge.

PS, if you're referring to myself as a sidekick, youd be wrong again. Why should today be any different.

You are on the "making things up " narrative started by the long gone " the Chief".

It is a cheap slur and a coordinated one with your mates. The forum regulars clique.

I claimed Abdullai has been a standout in the u21/ u23 for two full seasons..I watched him in person many times. I called him standout. That is an opinion.and not a fact. Therefore unless he did not play it cannot be contradicted or called a fantasy.

The chief sidekick is Max who leaps to support any criticism of myself to the point of obsession. Why not accept a different point of view?

No its me he's refereeing to and I couldn't careless, he calls people also sorts including Swans fans being Dim, dumb slow thinking amongst other things.

Yet when he gets grief he doesn't like it, he's clearly arrogant and has no sense of any self awareness.

Because maybe Williams is a berk? We have proper wingers and he uses a CDM on the wing instead.

What has been seen of Abdullai this season is no reson to believe these rumours. It could be Williams is ruining a promising career by playing him out of position.

Edited to add that of course, playing Abdullai in the middle with Franco means dropping Grimes so it won't happen unless Grimes is out for some reason.
[Post edited 7 Sep 17:48]

Think it is time to at least try the midfield without Grimes because ultimately against better teams his lack of pace is telling, if he is pushed forward he needs cover when Fulton and Korey Smirh played alongside him but that meant a blunting of our forward play as both Fulton and Smith didn't offer enough going forward.
Would I push Abdulai into that CDM position yet? My intial thinking would be no let Franco bed in but then again if Abdulai and Franco bed in together it might be a blessing.
Quite enjoyed the Wales game same players in defence and midfield looked good going forward as they did with Page but Page would adopt the defensive shape too much.If anything. Bellamy 's pressing game was well thought out, no Vipotnik or Yates rushing from one player to the with no support coming in the middle of the park, found it like schoolboys football to see Eom rushing to close down a full back only to the ball to be push into the space left leaving him stranded and bypassed with ease. Under orders? It was telling against Cardiff in the second half that Cooper was caught in two minds push on to support Cullen or wait for the support from behind that was not forth coming allowing us to be played through at their leisure, seen it far to often under Russell hoping it is ended by Williams.

I called the Trust members dim because they failed to sell single share when the shares were worth £1m per 1% holding (2011-2016). They missed out on upto £20m. It is downright weird that no one came out and said anything. The members were and are passengers.

The reason is that the model is nonsense just like many UK institutions. The members were asleep at the wheel as they did not cross examine a blatantly flawed strategy of the leadership of getting to 25% ownership. The target now is 5%.

They then embarked on a £400k legal case (their biggest ever investment) which died a death after 6 years of posturing. The Trust members foolishness has seen their reputation plummet. It is a vehicle for freebees for the volunteer members on the board. Nothing more in my opinion.

Max accused me of disrespecting the fans. I have the right of self defence and gave the circumstances of my criticism of them.

Abdullai is potentially a very good player for Swansea. Williams prefers buttering up the veterans who are treading water as good mid table Championship pros.

Swansea need new thinking not more of the same static 'Martin boringball'.

We have several very good players Abdulai included, who if played in their correct position would shine. Too many players are shuffled about to fit a system instead of making the best of what we have.

I’m beginning to think Williams is as bad as Martin - incapable of picking the right players in the right roles due to blindness caused by his coaching by numbers “philosophy “.

He’s shyte
He is doing what arises did at his worse,ie,picking young players out of position and expecting them to deliver
We have a shed full of midfielders but no striker worthy of the name
We are just getting by and this right after the window
Nobody is going to convince me Williams has no part at all on recruitment
We see players irrekevant for us going on to prove good players
There’s a reason for that. Coaching and coaches

You think Williams wants us to run from August to January with just Vipotnik and Cullen?

Plenty he deserves criticism for, but yet another cack handed transfer window isn’t one of them.

Sometimes in matches I feel we need to go 4-4-2 for a spell. That would mean Vipotnik and Cullen up front together with Franco and Grimes in midfield and Eom and Ronald wide. The problem is then, several of our summer signings would be surplus and an injury to one of the forwards and we are buggered.

I have criticised the Trust members for poor work and lack of engagement in decision making. They behaved in a dim way leading to the current low status of the Trust.

Fans who sing ethnic slurs about themselves are clearly not the smartest.

Its all stats and data its ruining us we haven't got the quality in the squad to run the team like that, it take's the individuality out of the players which stunts their performances, have team patterns and drills to use in games by all means, but let the f'ing players play.

Martin relaxed his approach towards the end of his last season here and we all so what happened. Robotic football will rarely work and certainly not at our level.
