Always remember a bloke next to us having a heart attack at Charlton many years back. Don't think he survived it sadly. Game certainly wasn't stopped.

It’s often down to club safety officer who will contact the 4th via tunnel security . Genuinely if down to them they will continue with game however lately players have been refusing to play .

Poll: Now it’s slightly clearer cut who do you want as manager ?

I saw these - I suspect its possibly an effect of the Eriksen incident in the summer where these things are being made more public now, and during the game with players well aware of whats going on feeling empowered enough to stop playing and get help. As mentioned in prior years was probably more hidden than we realise.

definitely affecting more games these days, how long did the game go on at hillsboro? lpool fans were calling to bruce in goal and he tried to get the refs attention.
if people are ill in stands , hopefully they get quick treatment from st johns ambulance , police and / or club doctors.
when my lad had an issue at sheffield utd /bramall lane a few yrs back, he was taken to a well laid out medic room and a dr came, he was a top cardio specialist on call for the club. luckily it was nothing serious but i was impressed by the facilites.

i've never known games to be stopped before. Fella died falling at Wembley during the Euros and game continued. Must be a new thing

If I was playing professionally and out of the corner of my eye I noticed someone receiving serious medical attention in the crowd and all that involves I have to admit that my immediate thoughts would be with that person and not what I was doing professionally, you gotta put yourself in that position,
With the help of a colleague we tried hard to revive a carpenter who had-had an accident and was Unconscious, for something like 10 minutes the two of us were taking it in turns with CPR, minutes before the ambulance arrived he passed away, It's an awful experience to go through.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

It will be down to Event Insurance.

No one wants to get sued so, they have to show they delivered a full Duty of Care at the event.
Stopping everything is one way of doing it.

Welcome to the land of corporate law.
