Talks ongoing, no doubt the extension will be extended....
It seems the blockage is over Pride Park, so.... the EFL will probably simply try to tide it over however I guess they can probably ly only go as far as after the Play Offs all finishing???...
Isn't there a golden share or something to prove they can finish the season?

More chance there of a golden shower than a golden share

There are road signs on the A50 which indicate the services coming up ahead, but it actually says Derby with Burton services.I wonder if some Forest wag will change it to Derby with Burton in league 1?

"In a statement, Quantuma said the exchange was "conditional on the sale of the stadium, EFL approval and receiving secured creditor consent"."
so basically still no actual takeover

I am guessing here but ...
What they may be doing is saying to all those parties if you don't do your bit then the deal is off. The other side will say you're just negotiating and so to counter that they are putting in the press to say, nope you have to do your bit or it's off and we made it public now.
So, the pressure is now on those on the sell side, or they don't mind that pressure and it makes no difference. The stadium is the key part as others have already said.

This story talks about the stadium and the company that 'owns' it.
It also says "Their accounts were released on Tuesday night which showed the stadium is still valued at £81m and a deal needs to be struck with Morris in order for Kirchner's takeover to proceed. The situation has created an extra headache for the club's administrators because a deal for the stadium is out of their control with Morris reportedly seeking £23m for it." - so he's willing to sell an asset which is worth £81m for £23m - surely that means its worth £23m........

How the hell is this, after the season has finished, still being allowed to crawl along?
They cannot afford the stadium, owe HMRC a shi t load of money, owe peeps god knows how much in debt, money to clubs who they bought players off of, etc etc?
Plus the wycombe issue still in the background.
Surely its game over?
I no longer understand this. Bury got (excuse the pun) 'Buried' by the powers that be for less. Meanwhile Derby are looking to BUY players!
