I've just been out for a walk (my one and only) and was pretty surprised how crazy busy it was. I lost count of how many groups of youngers of more than 6 were zooming up and down the promenade between Mumbles and Blackpill. Yes , lots of people walking, trying to maintain social distancing but more difficult under the circumstances.
There was a large group of kids congregated in Oystermouth cemetery causing a racket.
It makes you feel like what is the bloody point.
Loads in A&E last night after VE celebrations makes me feel a bit stupid about about what I previously supported. |  |

This morning me & the wife did exactly the same walk we did 2 weeks ago at exactly the same time. 2 weeks ago we saw 3 people, all alone, 2 of them joggers. This morning, we saw 17, 5 joggers, 4 couples and a family of 4. Nuff said. |

We didn't go there to watch people mun, they just happened to be there. There's more nature there in an hour than most people see in a month. Most of the (almost) daily 1 hour walks I do, I don't see anyone at all which is exactly how I like it and nothing to do with lockdown, it's because I'm an antisocial b4st4rd who goes to the most sparsely populated part of Spain by myself a couple of times a year. Good luck with keeping the British public indoors when the sun comes out. We have to test the waters at some point, it will be worse for our health being in lockdown for another rumoured 12-18 months than the actual virus. Not having your regular hospital and dentists appointments will cause more deaths down the line. |  |

Thursday's newspaper headlines with despicable. They suggested (especially to those who dont read further than a headline) that lockdown would be over on Monday. So to those same people they will think "nobody will notice if I end my own on Sunday after all what difference can a day make"
And hence you get that extending a few more days with some and its all forgotten.
Lockdown release will be slow and measured I have no doubt and for any one of the media/government who suggested elsewhere then they are as stupid as has been suggested.
My daily run yesterday took me to Aberavon Beach there was noticeably more people there then there had been at any point in the last 6 weeks including groups of people playing football and cycling together. |  | | |

In a year’s time, definitely in five years’ time, people on here will be moaning about how the effects of the lockdown are worse than the effects of the coronavirus. I’m not being cold hearted here but our kids are going to feel the fallout from this for much longer than those that we have shielded and protected. Easing the lockdown is one thing, visiting a night club is something else. You’d have to be a special kind of stupid to even want to do that at the moment.
And the papers reported what was briefed to them. It’s no coincidence that Thursday’s front pages were almost universally consistent in what they reported.

We may as well stop lockdown now as when it does get eased.....there are going to be spikes here, don't rule out another lockdown or 2 in the next 12months or so.

Just to add that the ending "Nuff said" could be read both ways.
The thing is none of us know the reasons why others are out and about, and it could be that others were always out around the same time just a couple of minutes could make the difference in seeing them or not.
I was doing my exercise walk early evening but it has been getting busier, not a problem as people were being aware of their surroundings etc.
It was getting less enjoyable having to keep my eyes open so changed to an early morning walk where I see maybe 5 others at most with no close contact involved. Maybe those have been doing it for weeks and nor recognised a newcomer even though my time has not increased
What I will say though, as a general view, is that I am seeing more groups of teenagers walking together. Personally I don't see a big problem with this if they keep a safe distance from others. There is though a greater chance of passing on the virus, but if they are staying within that group I guess very small. [Post edited 10 May 2020 10:30]

Just returned from my morning walk, i saw:
Two elderly gentlemen walking a dog (Jack Russell) - I see these gents every Saturday and Sunday morning.
One elderly lady tending to flowers on a grave, whilst also walking her dog (Bishon Frise) - I see this lady quite regularly, although I've never seen her in the cemetery before.
The mother of a VERY prominent poster from here, who stopped to speak to me briefly. I see this lady quite regularly.
An extremely elderly gentleman, walking very quickly for a chap i would estimate to be around 90 years of age. Never seen him before, one to watch.
A lady who i normally see out and about running, only this time she was walking (without a dog).
An elderly lady pulling up weeds in the pavement outside of her house. I won't class her as being out and about due to the close distance she kept to her house.

I’ve stopped giving a f*ck. I’m just keeping well away from anyone, until we can tell what the score is. I go out, but keep well away. Other people can do what the hell they like.
