It's a shame he had to wait so long for regular games in our u23s, with Fulton, King, Maric and Blair being brought in at great expense ahead of him. Was probably the most consistent and important player in the second half of the 17-18 season where we finished 4th. Was/is one of the first names on the teamsheet for Wales u21s as well.
As Cooper said post-match he's there on merit not sentiment. Would have played in the last round but for a knock. Magnificent attitude to keep going and focused through all he's been through, but he's a player with more to offer us than just a story.
Half a season of regular games in the u23s and he could be a genuine first team option imo. |  |
