I work all over Newport and there's plenty of Cardiff from there and i often see Cardiff tops.
Never once spoken to a Jack or seen a Jack top.
But thats not saying there aint any Jacks in Newport but i bet there aint many.

People have family connections (like me) or maybe they like the 'Swansea' way and wanted to go down...
Least they are putting their money into football and not into a pub watching LFC. |
Family connections, I'll give you that one. The others started supporting you because you were doing well and winning games, no other reason normally. I support CCFC because they're the nearest Professional football team to where I live/was brought up, if I lived/was brought up in or near Swansea I'd support you.

Not me.
We were completely gash when I started following the Swans and never expected us to even be a premier league club for one season in my lifetime. Just a team I chose and never looked back, I have no family connections either, just love the city, and for no particular reason.
Plus I f*cking despise Cardiff City and everything the club stands for. [Post edited 30 Aug 2018 22:29]

When you are premier league and you have a game v arsenal in Sunday you don’t really care for watching a mainly b team v a Norwich who have seen many times in the last 15 years, almost as boring as an Ipswich or reading. Soon, we will be getting 340000 every week and you lot, we’ll, will there be 11,000 even watching you sink to Newport’s level? Maybe. Funny you should mention Newport, there are more bluebirds there than county probably, they only mastered 7000 to Wembley ffs to get back into the league after 20 years away. A tiny club. A Rochdale.

You also didn’t sellout for your game v Newcastle. Compare that with clubs with a similar capacity, Middlesbrough, Derby for example, if they had been promoted last season and were playing their first PL home match for a while, they’d have sold out immediately. [Post edited 31 Aug 2018 19:22]
