Fao all our new American friends who are posting 17:03 - Oct 4 with 5133 views | Jackfath | Firstly let me apologise for the disgraceful, cringeworthy threads some of our "fans" have posted today. We are not all like that. Now that we have Mr Bradley in charge I will get behind him no matter how incredibly distasteful the public demise of our previous manager has been. Onwards and hopefully (I'll reserve judgement for a few months) upwards.

Fao all our new American friends who are posting on 18:43 - Oct 4 by swansRus | Bury away was one of the great away days - early goal, promotion sealed, Bury fans crying because we had the nerve to walk on their hallowed turf, Willy carted off by the old bill. Good times. |
The Forbesinator! I thInk we went in to that level on points with two other teams and needed one of them to lose or draw. Happy days.

Fao all our new American friends who are posting on 18:14 - Oct 4 by A_Fans_Dad | Shameful OP sucking up to the yanks. The threads on here today have been no where near as "disgraceful, cringeworthy " as the way the club, fans, Trust and manager have been treated by the new owners and Jenkins. |
I see where you are coming from but any new posters we are getting are just showing an interest in the club due to the American involvement. If they become new supporters then brilliant. I hope we get millions of American supporters. The problem is we have taken a massive risk and there is every likelyhood that this will end in tears. If it doesn't then the club and the City will have a massively raised profile across the pond. So welcome to all Americans and hope you stick with us. One thing I would say there are some here agreeing with OP who were less than pleasant to the Danish and Korean friends we picked up as a result of ML and Ki being here.....

I wouldn't necessarily agree with it, but I'd have to think about it, and it would definitely be a close run thing. That is, however, nothing to do with the nationality of our new owners. |
I'm beginning to worry about you !

I heard one caller on BBC Radio Wales yesterday say he'd rather be in League Two with local owners/manager than the current situation. It's obvious that's just an extremely fringe element though. |
rather be in league 2 Proves my point parochial claptrap. Notice darran hasnt countered this apart from chucking insults

Fao all our new American friends who are posting on 17:44 - Oct 4 by Headmaster | " My anger lies with the board and their complete f*ck up in the summer transfer window and their making Guidolin the scape goat for this. " 100%. It's especially annoying when Huw comes out and defends the transfer window. For f*ck's sake, take some responsibility man. It's precisely the club's lack of investment in the squad that has lead to this. Nevertheless, I will support Bradley and hope to god he doesn't screw it up. |
well said But cast your minds back to last jan after monk was booted huw was on the beeb having an interview on his appointment of guido and in that interview he stated " he would never let the club get into this position again " ( that being the club in the relegation positions) well sorry huw your words a cheap just like your spending on players all of this mess is at your door. its your fault and we all know it is. time to stop lying to us we can see what is going on and we dont like it. Thing is we just do not have the quality to compete and until that changes we are going to suffer on and off the pitch. time for you to go i think huw.

I notice he never owns up to his mistakes either. The way he sacks managers is pretty unsavoury as well. ML sacked by email after they had shaken hands on a deal. Frankie gets it when he is out of the country and on his birthday to boot. Having said that he probably did not know when his birthday was. Seems he hardly spoke to him. Certainly kept schtum when the pressure was on Frankie. I wonder what method he used to show Monk the door? Maybe Toots was right during agentgate.....

I am sick of the whinging supporters on here over Guidolin You swear he was a great manager. Im getting behind my team and the new manager. The club needs all the support not protest. Regardless of results; respect, honesty and strong moral principles were sadly missing from this embarassing episode. Would you want to work for an employer who treated its employees like he has been? Guidolin's dignity through all this was exceptional. It's not all about football - how does this sorry saga make the Club look in the media and world-wide global audience; or, because it's football, does it really matter? We used to be so much better than this.

Why? Like said I wouldn't necessarily agree with it, but I can understand it. For me, the club is more than what league we happen to be in. I love us being in the premier league - I don't want us to go down, and I want Bradley to be successful so we don't. But I remember years ago asking a Fulham supporting mate of mine whether he felt the same about his club once Al Fayed came in and starting chucking money about, and he said it didn't feel like his any more. That's how I feel now. It's lovely that we're doing so well, but it doesn't feel like mine anymore. Not as much as it has for all my life anyway (with the exception of Petty and the few weeks that Thompson nutcase took over). Even when we were utter crap, it was our crap. Others will feel differently.

Fao all our new American friends who are posting on 07:08 - Oct 5 with 796 views | CaliforniaJack | My thanks go to you for a good post Fath. The vast majority on this forum are kind and welcoming to the US based Swans fans. However there are some who have posted on this forum and even on this thread (you know who you are) who have made the US based fans feel unwelcome with some crass and distasteful jibes. If you feel inclined to do so I would ask one thing - please note that it is not through our choosing that the club now has a US based ownership group and US manager. With this in mind we all have one thing in common - the love for our football club - Swansea City. If you are with or against the US ownership group or with or against the appointment of a US manager the bottom line is one thing - our club/team needs our support - now more than ever. None of us can be sure how the appointment of Bob Bradley will work out, but I'm sure of one thing - he will be more likely to succeed with our support than without it. In the meantime my thanks go to Francesco Guidolin for helping us to remain in the Premier league last year ... Ciao Francesco.

The majority will though be prepared for a bit of a bit of gentle p!ss taking. Give as good as you get ;-) Trouble is if this all goes terribly wrong, which seems very likely, then at least two of your fellow countrymen are going to get it with both barrels. Along with our Welsh DOF.....
