Don't fall for it. That's just what 'they' want you to feel. Cling to your nihilistic, cynical masochism. Otherwise you'll fall into supporting ironically, and that means beards, overly tight, half-mast jeans and a trip to the cereal bar to snort lines of crushed Cheerios with organic yak's milk chasers.
Still, win away, win away, win away, win away....
'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'
none of the "experts" on MOTD have a clue. Neville the worst. Closely followed by Gullit. For the last few weeks Shearer thinks we're gone. One win and all of a sudden we have four winnable games? They kneejerk more than we do! having said that.... After Everton, I thought we were down . I still think we are probably going, because it seems to hurt less if I don't hope. As with the championship, where any 3 from 8 could go up, as I see it, it's any 3 from 6 to go down. Football is such chaos that anything could happen. Why cant we be soooo bad that we have no chance. Or easily good enough to stay up. Why do we have to be just good enough to hope?
Actually I thought what Gullit was pretty interesting, especially about Ross Barkley. Gullit really exposed the consequences of Roy of the Rovers football and the stupid English notion of chasing lost causes.
