I wonder if Ashley Williams was injured and would have thought Emnes would have been better than Lita, am gutted. [Post edited 2 Mar 2014 19:14]

I'd even have Vazquez over Lita
Poor Monk on 18:33 - Mar 2 with 4597 views | Tom1912 | Not naive at all. We were clearly dead on our feet after Thursday. Couldn't string passes together second half. He tried to save it but didnt have the resources. Shelvey and Michu on the bench would have meant 3 points.
Poor Monk on 18:37 - Mar 2 with 4533 views | aspas45 | Can’t be too harsh. At least we played well for more than 30 minutes unlike under Laudrup. We gave everything in Naples - the players were tired. We also played well for 90 minutes against stoke, Cardiff and liverpool.

Agree they were on top at the time, but didn't think Ash looked particularly tired nor was he looking like a weakness. They're coming into the game, their confidence rising; you don't take off your rock at the back and only outlet up front. The subs were premeditated and went against the run of play at the time. Sorry but Monk has to shoulder blame here

What a load of fckn sh1t Lita for bony - when emnes on bench Amat for Williams - when Chico played full game Thursday too Sorry he's cost us 2 games now making diabolical decisions and I've been really impressed with performances recently 2points dropped today and decisions from the bench cost them... Of course its naïve. Takes of Williams who is the leader and most experienced defender on the park and takes off Bony who is capable of holding the ball up to take relief of the back four.

I am just happy we are playing well for longer than 20 or 30 minutes unlike under Laudrup..

Poor Monk on 18:42 - Mar 2 with 4418 views | KingBony | Shall we at least wait to hear the reasons from Monk first before slagging him off like a bunch of babies? Hernandez apparently hammy, Bony and Williams May have been pre-determined or maybe they both felt they couldn't continue? There were another 9 players on the pitch at the time, why did we lose our shape so badly second half? If anyone's to blame it's Vorm in no mans land for no apparent reason and Dein giving a pen when it was a yard outside the box. Fickle as fcuk

Well its interesting that you say that, maybe doing double sessions was a completely fooking stupid idea dont you think, maybe the fact energy was conserved under Laudrup and we always played stronger second half in games was the approach that was best suited to these games after euro league ? Monk in the last 3 games has made subs that cost us all three games in terms of a point or victory IMO. If there were tiredness issues then surely keeping people fresh for Palace was an absolute top priority ! To take off Bony and Ash was a shocking misjudgement by monk, unless of course these boys are injured, a tired Bony will still hold the fooking ball though and a tired Ash will still try and play the right ball and keep things organised at the back . No getting away from this im afraid. This game was a must win and was there for us,Palace were poor and once pulis changed things second half monk had no clue how to combat it . Things are worse now than they were under Laudrup, the only difference is that we are conceeding more and taking less points under Monk .

They haven't. Not chuffed with the entire second half tbh but maybe both those players risked injury and Monk thinking of the games ahead as well. What happens if we lose Ash and Bony for 6-8 weeks with injury and he knows them and their condition better than us. Then people say Monk should have given them a break and used the squad etc etc...can't win really It looked like we might concede before he made the changes anyway and I feel the whole squad was tired especially last 25 minutes. I guess we would have won this game comfortably had we not been involved in the EL as someone else said having Shelvey / Michu to come on might have given us the extra to push over the line. Not great as we should be winning but if that was a better team we'd have lost IMO so it's not the end of the world is it?

For what it's worth if it's true Ash was spewing up then I suppose he had to go off. Didn't see that not the TV.
Poor Monk on 19:14 - Mar 2 with 4044 views | Dr_Winston | Losing Bony cost us big time. If that was a sub for anything other than injury then it has to go down as a f*ckup.

Must win Vs WBA now. Think if we win that we may hit the nail in their coffin Fulham and Cardiff look gone, WBA look most likely

Ash spewing in second half must have been part of decision But Lita instead of Emnes? I used be sympathetic to Lita, but today he had a chance and did nothing! effort nil! strolling about with the old attitude.
