Refwatch: Altrincham v Rochdale Wednesday, 7th Feb 2024 13:00 by TVOS Dale’s first visit to Altrincham in over 41 years on Saturday will be refereed by STEVEN COPELAND. The Wallasey-based police detective took charge of our first away game of the campaign at Oxford City in August, which Dale won 1-0 courtesy of Ian Henderson’s second half goal. He was then due to appear at Spotland for the league fixture versus Gateshead in October, but was replaced by John Mulligan. However, Steven was later appointed to Dale’s FA Trophy tie at home to The Heed in December, although that was a night we would rather forget as the visitors ran out 5-1 winners! Mr Copeland is one of the National League’s longest-serving referees and is in his fifth campaign at this level. His 11 league games this term have seen him show 46 yellow cards and four reds.
