Will Finnie is the referee when Dale’s FA Cup campaign gets underway at Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

This will be the fourth time Mr Finnie has taken charge of a Dale match, but the second time this season after he was in the middle for our 1-0 defeat at Gillingham in August.

Early last term, Will refereed Dale’s 1-0 home loss to Oldham Athletic, while in December 2020, he oversaw a stunning performance that saw Brian Barry-Murphy’s men return north from Plymouth Argyle with a 4-0 win.

The Kettering-based official is in only his fourth season on the National List and so far this term he has refereed 12 games, showing 40 yellow cards and one red.
