Uchegbulam Signs for Latics Wednesday, 3rd Jul 2024 15:34 by Chaff In a bizarre transfer move, Dale winger Jesurun Uchegbulam has left Rochdale to join one of our biggest rivals.
Can’t actually believe I’m typing this but Jez Uchegbulam has only gone and joined local rivals Oldham Athletic it seems as the story popped up on the Oldham Official site earlier before being removed. The story has since reappeared on both ours and Oldham's website.
The Nigerian winger joined Rochdale last summer from Chesterfield for a nominal fee and went on to play 29 games, scoring once, a top corner finish against Gateshead back in October.
The 23-year-old was out injured for a while after falling foul of the dangerous advertising hoardings at AFC Fylde on New Years Day in what was a very nasty looking injury that halted the game for some time.
Good luck Jez.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Rochdale Polls |
