The expected busy summer has started to gather pace as one of Dale’s newest signings looks set to depart already.

Rumours gathered pace this morning (Thursday) when rumours from Cleethorpes were that Mullarkey was there yesterday signing autographs in their club shop.

Toby Mullarkey was signed on deadline day back at the end of January for an undisclosed fee from Altrincham by then manager Jim Bentley The 27-year-old defender made just 12 appearances before picking up an injury and couldn’t force his way back in the side under Jim McNulty upon his return despite what seemed to be an impressive start to his Dale career.

It's gonna be a long few weeks.
