Jim McNulty has been confirmed as the permanent manager of Rochdale AFC on a two year deal following an interim spell in charge.

After taking over as manager for the final stages of the 2022/2023 season, Jim McNulty has now been named the permanent manager of Rochdale AFC.

McNulty, who has been on the coaching staff at Dale in recent years while retaining his playing license, took charge of 10 games last season over two separate spells, winning three, drawing three and losing four of those fixtures.

However, the board had seen enough in some of the late season victories to suggest that the 38 year old is the man to take the club forward on a permanent basis, despite the misgivings of many supporters.

“The opportunity to lead our team and represent our club, which the fans cherish, has always been a dream of mine,” McNulty told the club's official website.

“To be given the opportunity at a club so close to mine and my family’s hearts, is really special to me.

In his playing career, McNulty made a total of 237 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.
