Refwatch: Rochdale v Forest Green Rovers Monday, 16th Aug 2021 18:00 by TVOS Just for YorkshireDale, the familiar figure of Andy Haines will referee Dale’s first-ever league game against Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday night. Mr Haines will be taking charge of his 35th Dale match on Tuesday, with 32 of them being at Spotland! The last time we saw him was at Crewe in April, where a controversial injury-time penalty for the home side was cancelled out by an even later Matt Done equaliser. Haines’ last Spotland appearance was in January for last season’s other meeting with Crewe, where Dale came back from 3-0 down at half-time to earn a 3-3 draw. Andy’s most memorable Dale appointment was our promotion-clinching 1-0 win over Northampton in April 2010, while he has refereed us four times against Chesterfield, one of them being the 4-3 win at Saltergate 13 years ago when David Perkins scored a fine hat-trick. The full list of Andy’s Dale matches is: Sep 07 Rochdale v Macclesfield D 1-1 This is Mr Haines’ third match of the season, after Shrewsbury v Lincoln (Carabao Cup) last Tuesday and Port Vale v Tranmere at the weekend.
