Refwatch: Sunderland v Dale Monday, 10th Feb 2020 12:00 by TVOS Seven weeks since his last Dale game, long-serving EFL referee Graham Salisbury takes charge of our visit to Sunderland on Tuesday. The Preston whistler, who has been on the league list since the start of the 2001/02 season, refereed Dale’s 3-1 defeat at Burton on 21st December, having also been in the middle at Fleetwood in September where we were beaten 2-1. The game at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday will be Mr Salisbury’s 22nd Dale appointment, two of which were notable 4-2 away wins. In March 2010 he refereed the 4-2 victory at Accrington which, as it transpired, proved to be the game that took Dale up from League Two. Eighteen months later, in September 2011, Graham took charge of the 4-2 win at bury, in which Nicky Adams scored and was then sent-off for picking up a second yellow card after removing his shirt and waving it round his head! The full list of Mr Salisbury’s Dale matches is: Oct 01 Rochdale v Southport (LDV) W 2-0 Before Saturday, when he was due to officiate at Carlisle v Swindon, Graham had refereed 23 games this season, showing 76 yellow cards and one red.
