Dennis Lawrence looks set to extend his loan at Crewe until the end of the season

The Swansea City defender has spent the last three months on loan at Gresty Road and the Evening Post now reports that he is likely to have that spell extended until the end of the season which is likely to mean his career at Swansea is over.

Lawrence has appeared 11 times to date in what is a pretty miserable season for the Railwaymen - they find themselves rooted to the bottom of the League One table, seven points from safety.

He made the move there in September after a solitary appearance for the Swans this season in the Carling Cup victory over Brentford.

That was his 93rd and appears to be his last appearance for the Swans.
