Lillis returns to Scunny Tuesday, 30th Nov 2010 18:05 by Col Dale goalkeeper Josh Lillis has returned to Scunthorpe following the injury that he picked up in Dale's game with Oldham at the weekend, leaving the club without a first choice keeper. Lillis suffered a hamstring injury in the second half on Saturday and now looks set to be ruled out for the remainder of his loan spell with the club. He had signed a deal which kept him at Spotland until January, but this injury pretty much rules that out now, Dale do have Matty Edwards on the books, but Saturday's appearance against the Latics was Edwards' debut for Dale in an eighteen month spell that has been troubled by a succession of injuries. The transfer deadline for loans ended last week, though teams have approached the FA for special dispensation to sign a keeper in the past. Notably, Carlisle signed keeper Jimmy Glass after the transfer deadline before he scored the winning goal to ensure their League survival.
