I watched the 1st series of Afterlife and didn’t think it was funny at all.How can a show about a man wanting to commit suicide be funny?
I watched it again and almost saw the funny side of it. |

I spoke with a guy who regularly follows the ladies team a couple of seasons ago and he said that it wouldn’t take a huge investment to take the team to the next level in the women’s game.
This was just after the women won the Euros and the interest was there,especially as it was an ex QPR player who scored the winner.Nothing compared to the sums our owners have to pay to keep us afloat.
The team was made up of mostly qpr supporters who had to make their own way to away games except Norwich,where a coach was provided.It might be different now,but we lost players to other teams who could pay the players to play for their teams,including Wimbledon. |

My daughter was mascot for the Leroy Griffiths friendly against the sw6 sh@t in 2001 and we got the vip treatment before the game.As we were waiting by the reception a player came down the stairs towards us suited and booted.I said to my family,”Look there’s Marcus Bignot.”He came up to us and said,”I’m actually Clarke Carlisle.”
My Mrs only mentions it about 10 to 20 times a season now. |

I was too busy watching him fall down the hole to notice that they’d scored again.I wondered why everyone was celebrating.I had to wait to see it on the tv to see what a screamer it was. |

My daughter’s football team had a woman that wanted to change to a man,but was allowed to play in the women’s league as that’s what her genes said she was,even though she was taking medication to enable her to look like a man.She has now decided to stop her medication because she wants to have a baby,but then revert back to a man once the baby is born.She has a girlfriend,but doesn’t classify herself a lesbian.Confused? |

At least 2 and possibly 3.Ipswich ladies are a division above and are looking for promotion to the women’s championship,which is one division below the wsl.

I got 3 tickets for our women’s game at Loftus Road on Sunday that I can no longer use if anyone wants them?My daughter’s team were supposed to having a bye this Sunday,but it’s been changed to a Suffolk county cup game.
They are in the 2nd or 3rd row of the west paddock,right by the dugout.They are totally free and I’d rather they were used than wasted.

I’m tempted to get up for the 5.28 train from Stowmarket,which gets in at 11.15.The 17.27 only takes 7 hours and 22 mins.And a bargain at only £67 too. |

If it wasn’t for the cheaper oap season tickets I’d be tempted to say feck it too.I feel sorry for anyone who’s had to fork out for a full price season ticket only to discover that they can’t make a lot of the games that they’ve paid good money for. |

I’ve just returned from a weekend of beer and German football.We started with a game on Saturday afternoon between SV Sandhausen and Archen,which saw a sending off after 2 minutes and resulted in a 4-0 win for the home side in front of a crowd of 4309.
Sunday’s treat was Karlsruhe SC v Pressun Munster which ended in a 1-1 draw with the away side scoring with virtually the last kick of the game.A bumper crowd of 30,000 watched it.
I’m sure that a lot of people on here have been to football in Germany,but if you’re looking for games with atmosphere,you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere in Europe better than this.All four sets of ultras sang their hearts out for 90 minutes solid and even the Saturday game was noisy enough.It was only the 2nd and 3rd divisions but there are some big teams down there.
I can’t wait for the next trip,although I’ll make I wrap up the warmer next time.
