Great article - and it's apathy that leads me to post my first ever blog. I also agree with Steve_T and RabRam10. Clough has brought in at least 3 players (Croft, Martin and Moxey) who he has then discarded/sold; not to mention other of his signings who the jury is still out on. This, to me, casts doubt on his judgement. Why didn't he fight to keep Fielding who brought stability and confidence to the defence? i thought the idea of adopting a 'loan transfer' strategy was to bring experience and/or better quality players into the side - we seem to be fishing at the lower end of the food chain (Waghorn; can't get into Leicester's side and he seems to be the only striker we are looking at getting in - the Sammon scenario could well have been different had we been smarter in how we handled the whole offer process, but even so isn't this another Chris Porter - unproven at a higher level? it's okay going for cheaper/younger/unproven players as long as you have some experience to help them develop - and we have (forgetting Savage) absolutely none in the side/club. bit of a rant I know but as I said it's apathy that led mne here and in 43 un-interrupted years of following the club I have never felt so unattached as I do now. I re-newed my season ticket this season after much soul-searching: wrong decision!
