Yeah he's not incapable of having a good match/periods of a match. He just switches off sometimes and occasionally for whole games. We need someone a bit more consistent. |

I wrote a post saying exactly that before the internet ate it. Added to which Mr Izzard doesn't have someone kicking him while his hamstrings are at full stretch. I still think Chris Willock's hamstrings failed partly because he was hit in the back of the thigh so much that season. |

Opinions as always but I remember at one point Frey moving between all four defenders trying to press. There were miles between him and our 'midfield'. I don't think even Haaland could have done much with our entire midfield setting up tents outside our box. |

Bit harsh on Frey. We'd retreated like the Red Sea back to our own half by then and he was trying to press their entire back line. Bit different when you've got a fresh Chair, Smyth and Morgan and Andersen all pressing with you. I also think Smyth going off made a big difference . They were terrified of his pace after the first fixture but we're much less dangerous on the counter without him meaning their back line could all push up. |

I think Marti said he'd had another setback. That was a week or so ago though. |

True. Nevertheless we've gained ten points over Cardiff and Plymouth and nine points over Stoke and Hull in the last ten matches. We can't afford to be complacent but we're definitely on a much better trend. I'm encouraged that one loss didn't end up in two and then a six loss slump. Getting draws isn't great for points total but I don't think it wrecks the confidence like a run of losses. |

He's got a hamstring issue so I can't see him being able to play full matches for some time. |

I agree if we can get Chair and Frey playing I'm hoping they will be better at holding onto the ball which may take some pressure off our makeshift defence. On a slightly more postive note it took 6 more matches and until the 29th January last season to reach our current points total. |

Lovely report Jamie. Couldn't see the match even on-screen but grateful to you for your being there (so we didn't have to). A good sign for these things is where they manage to make even a dismal showing into an entertaining piece. You've managed it here, so thanks. |

I agree. Marti himself doesn't like kneejerk responses, whether that's getting carried away with imminent promotion when we win or throwing in the towel when we lose. I realise I'm prone to be overly optimistic and am trying to curb that with a bit of realism . But FFS these injuries would affect most squads in the Championship. Just look what's happened to Man City with their embarrassment of riches with just a couple of players having past their best. We can't afford to go on another terrible run but this only one match. |

Haha! Not great at that but genius at standing on one leg or the not blinking competition. Sorry Clive for my involvement <hangs head in shame>.... |

Really? Ann Widdecombe? Myra Hindley? I bet Brian and Konk for instance would beat me on many of these factors. I don't really think these generally positive qualities are so gender specific. I do think socialisation plays a big part though. We shouldn't put people into gender straitjackets. |

Based on how they were doing pre-Corberan this squad are currently over-achieving. Bit of a poisoned challice. |

Wowser! Also Elvis married Priscilla, the Vietnam war was still happening and Jack the Hat McVittie was murdered by the Krays! I like this game... |

That's insane! Oh well we did finally win at Forest eventually so it's possible to break these jinxes. |
