You can try to blame this all on the manager if you want and say reed has no fault but fact is it was his decision to replace a manager last year. It was also his decision to hire the current manager and it is also his decision to not fire him. He has been a complete failure on that side of his duties.
I note that he blamed a lot of the woes this year on VVD when he left. Guess whose decision it was to not sale him at the start of the year?
We currently have 2 problems. Our attack is horrible and was horrible last year. Apart from a few fluke results. We have been under 1 goal per game for 1.5 years now. Most fan knew we need to bring a forward in and an attacking midfielder. At the start of the year. Yet reed did nothing and that has been our main issue
We also sold 2 starting central defenders, so reed decided to replace him with one only and so far he has been mediocre at best. Slow do not use his height well makes horrible mistakes.

As everyone has said. Who cares. The fact is he handed in a transfer request saying he did not want to be here. But les Reed in his arrogance chose not to sell. So should we be surprised that he was not a motivated employee? The rest of the players sure looked like they had no problems with him and yoshii and hoedt both had said they enjoyed playing with him.

One of which are coaching another PL side, who is not having any problem scoring goals. I think the facts indicate that the talent level in attack and not defense is inadequate. We have now had 2 transfer windows to fixed this. And have plenty of van dyck money to fix it. Which could hav been used in August as well. I agree with the headline it looks like we are led by blind mice. Liverpool has issues in defense, they did business the very first day of the transfer period. Meanwhile les reed, just like in August sat on his hands thinking a striker that scored once every 300 days and attacking midfielders that cannot attach or pass or score goals would be enough. Saint Nick you seem to have placed all our problems on van dyck. While I think he has been mediocre. I do think he has been our best defender this year and much less likely to make the mistakes that yoshida and Hoedt makes. The problems has been on the other end of the field
My view is that if van dyck is the main problem. It should have been forseeable when he had to train away from the team and handed in a transfer request. Which reed had to take a part of the blame for.
The problem in attack is also the fault of the architect of the team in not addressing the problems everyone can see last year
From what I have read, van dyck absence from the team in the last 3 games is a product of keeping him healthy for a January sale. Unless you have inside info. I am not sure we can blame van dyck for it.

Question is how many others in the squad actually supports van duck, because they might want the same in the future.
