Suppose that’s my point. I don’t really know the make up of the current set up, but if they are not up for the fight ( maybe they are, I just don’t know anything they do anymore) then start the change here. It’s the only vehicle available to get at the owners. For all their faults the original trust board had the balls to take on the establishment. Maybe just maybe there are others who can step up to plate. |

Isn’t this the exact scenario that Trust is meant to protect against? The early days of its existence were quite something special to be a part of . I know that a lot of bitterness has been evoked over the way it evolved and in particular the part it played in the takeover but surely it can be revived as focal point for change. I’m sure that when needed the very same supporters who had the drive, energy and fight will stand up again. |

Agreed. However it’s a risky move this moment in time. Hopefully two new midfielders to replace him . Box to box player and a creative playmaker but just can’t see it happening. Love him or hate him losing him will make us a weaker team. |

The problem is Grimes has played every minute of every game since God knows when! There’s been plenty of games where a like for like replacement could have had a run out or even something different could have been tried. No transition for a game plan heavily reliant on Grimes is a huge gamble. |

Totally agree. Heads need to roll with this decision. Not having cover up front is criminal. Sending out Josh Thomas on loan before any backup comes in is a disaster!! Even with a fit forward line we are struggling. Can’t see any solution to this one. |

Grimes had played almost every minute of every game for past 5 seasons! Bit of a long shot here but maybe just maybe we could try out a midfield combo without him ? Take him off for 5 bloody minutes at least!. |

What is the point of having that Josh whatever his name is in charge of recruitment? We actually pay him to identify players that we will never sign. We have scouts that find players we will never sign! All a bit pointless really eh? |

IMO he’s worth the risk. Get him in this week while we got the chance. We know what we’re getting with Joe. Maybe offer him a route into coaching (if that’s what he wants of course). |

Think it all points to the fact that social media platforms have spawned a sector where everyone is an expert and their opinions are all that matters. Everyone seems to be embroiled in Culture Wars where blame needs to be dished out at every opportunity. Don’t know if you’ve listened to the Jon Ronson podcast ‘Then Something Changed’ ?
