To finish in the top 6 we'd need at least 70 points, IMO. That means another 26 or 2 points per game. Seeing as we still have to play 5 of the top 6, including the runaway top 3 at LR, I don't see the above target as realistic.
However, the development since Nov, makes me think that next season a top 6 place is achievable. If Marti and Nourry feel the same way, then the planning can start now.9 |

It depends what they do about the players who are OOC, between now and June 30.
I suspect they'll want to keep JD, Cook, Frey. Also turn Saito's loan into a perm deal. If so, it cuts down the churn to something less disruptive |

I stop predicting Chair as 1st scorer and ge does that. Then Koki is calm personified for the 2nd.
On Downside, Field and Carane have had zero influence and we've barely won a header outside the danger areas. The 3 midfield giants (sic!) are going to have to do better.
However, I can't see Derby coming back. Just like to see us improve our GD. |

Derby did spend £4m on Sangas. Also brought in Matt Ckarje on loan. Straight replacements fir Cashin & Nelson. Not sure they've done anything fir the rest of a struggling side.
If we play like we did against Eustace's prev club, then we ought to win. Suspect Rs will want to respond to Tueday's last minute sickened. I can't see how they can score. |

Sky aren't allowed to show games at 3pm on Saturday. The deal that was agreed with the EFL said each Championship team would appear live 20 times. Therefore, 3 games at 12:30. Whether anybody likes it or not.

A decent balance between Juzzie's pessimism and excessive expectations.
I think we could make a solid push for the top 6, as per Blackburn this year or Ipswich last. However, there are a lot of Ifs. Will Dunne sign a new contract and stay. Will Cook still be here and contributing at 34. Paal will be moved on. Have we got/can we find a replacement. Larkeche or Esquadinha? Can we add some pace? Who's going to deliver the roughly 60 goals we'll need.
Maybe we have to follow the Brentford model - selling favourites for top dollar and replacing with better, cheaper. Who's got faith that QPR can do that? For several seasons? |

I can't believe that anybody Still thinks we could have got £2m for Dunne in January. That may have been the QPR valuation, but with at least 18 months to run on his contract, not 5 months.
If any bid had come from a PL club, as opposed to an aspiring one, Mr Wilder, then it may have been different.
The next step should be to get him a new deal and if somebody offers £2m afterwards, then sell. By contrast to a solid, unspectacular, Championship defender, Ronnie Edwards cost Soton £3m. |
