Thank you, kind sir. Hopefully, Bury can find a way out of their predicament whilst still actually paying the staff and all the creditors. Sadly, I don't see both of those things happening. |

To be fair, Beckford didn't fail - he scored eight goals in 16 games and has been out injured since the middle of October! |

Yes. I really dislike the element who do that. A similar thing has happened to me for having the temerity to praise how Rochdale as a football club go about their business or saying Callum Camps is a special talent. It won't stop me from doing those things, even if it irritates people. In truth, Rochdale are 'just' another football club to me (and I mean that in a good way). The days when I cared about any rivalry are long gone. However, I do enjoy coming on here as I have for years because there are fans who have seen season after season of circling the drain in the fourth tier and yet still supported their side regardless... and there are younger fans who chose to follow their local team instead of the easier option of one of the giants a few miles away. |

Yeah, you could be right. In fairness, I only learned about RNL after posting it. |

They are being sold much too early and nowhere their 'potential' market value (with the possible exception of Jacob Bedeau, but even that deal is questionable) because of the ridiculous way the club is being run financially. I wrote a blogpost on the Will Ferry case and compared what's happening at Bury unfavourably with Rochdale. https://burymeinexile.com/2017/07/04/ferry-across-the-solent-but-at-what-cost-to I thought it was a balanced piece but it did not go down well with other fans... |

I wouldn't say they're a collection of individuals per se; they're being brought to the club to fit into a very well-defined tactical Plan A... the trouble will start when that gamble doesn't work. |

In my view, it's defensive midfield. He doesn't have the raw pace that is almost obligatory at full back these days and he's decent from a technical standpoint, so he could provide a good screen for the back four. |

Interesting move by Hill. It makes me think he believes he can instill confidence in Brown that he's lacked at some of his previous clubs. I'd be surprised if he was in the first XI for Dale straight away but he doesn't lack effort or versatility. He just needs a club he can call his home. I wrote about his release a few weeks ago. https://burymeinexile.com/2017/05/08/the-retained-list-20162017-what-it-might-me [Post edited 25 May 2017 15:56]

Thanks! Yep, I already have. If there's a backlash, so be it. It won't change my mind. |

Have you hacked into my blog? My very next post has the phrase 'rolling the dice' in the title! |

Trust me, I feel that frustration you're describing. |

How do, chaps. I thought it was only fair to post a review of the game, too: https://burymeinexile.com/2017/04/14/bury-0-1-rochdale-review/ For what it's worth, on balance on play, a draw would've been a 'fairer' result but Dale are simply a better organised side, especially in midfield as I'd feared would be the case and they have a great platform to get into the top six next season (if not quite this). |
