Koh Phagnan is only a 20 minute ferry ride from Koh Samui, it's also where the full moon party is if you're into that sort of thing! You can also get to Ko Tao and a few other islands from there quite easily, can't remember all of the names but there is quite a choice. Conversely though I'd imagine a lot of that part of the world is certainly worth having a look at, surely anything is better than Spain!!! |

Just recently visited Thailand, only went to Koh Samui and Koh Phagnan but have to say it's a cracking place to visit. Wouldn't bother with all inclusive as it really isn't worth it. Best advice would be to initially book a few nights then book the rest while you are there, so many places to see, the locals are extremely friendly, the food is superb, you really can't fault the place, it's certainly not third world that's for sure! If you are going that way I would definitely recommend a visit to The Mason Arms in Koh Phagnan, it's built as a replica of The Stoneham Arms next to the crematorium, so is a bit of a Saints pub, with a couple from Southampton running it, at least I'm sure that's what they do! If you've not been out that way before you're only concern may be the humidity and mosquitoes, have your jabs and pack light, otherwise it's an extremely tropical paradise that doesn't break the bank!! |

People live, people die, until something is done about that, I think we should all just live as good a life as we can. To many people with to many opinions doesn't change the end result! |

What? Wow! I'm confused, that doesn't make sense. What exactly are you saying? He's an over privileged f**k Wit, spouting off. Why don't all these lefties that wish to change things go and do it instead of telling the rest of us how wrong we are for not doing it? After all he had an audience full of multi millionaires, that could actually collectively make a difference, yet he wants the man in the street and their taxes to pay for his ideology! Gotta love a bit of champagne socialism, it's like Pompey, it's the gift that keeps giving!! |

Fuc***g hypocrite, a room full of extremely privileged people and he's spouting off about the government and the poor, if he's that bothered why not get all his privileged mates to have a whip round? The irony of that speech is really lost on him! |

The problem is though Nick, as much as it's an admirable philosophy and it's worked ok the last few seasons, it's kind of a failed way of thinking. We can't keep selling our better/senior players and expect to bring another from the academy to fit in seamlessly! It could also be a reason why we can't keep managers, they've kind of got their hands tied! |

Very good read and so true. Kind of gives an insight to what's been left behind whilst we've been part of the EU club! The only thing wrong with it is the movement of people, saying it's difficult for Aussies to move to the UK is fine, maybe it is, but believe me it's a lot harder to get to AUS, certainly not an easy route to take!! |

Highly recommend Narcos, was on Netflix. Another good one is Romanzo Criminale, subtitled but based on true events, Mafia thing! Banshee is also very good. |

Precisely my point, I'd even go as far as to say that until the rest of the World sorts itself out then f**k em, just hold the Euros, without Platini anywhere near it of course, European teams hold a lot more power than they realise and it's about time they started using it. Who now is going to have any enthusiasm for the next World Cup? It's a busted flush more than 2 years before it happens!! |

Am I missing something here? Surely if any integrity is to be restored to World football, the footballing nations themselves should do the right thing and refuse to take part. Anyone with half a brain can see that FIFA is corrupt to the core! Any future tournaments under FIFA rule should be discarded. The World Cup is nothing without the competing nations, time to regroup and tell FIFA to do one! |
