Increase in defence spending
at 22:17 27 Feb 2025

I presume the talk of analysis of the increase assuming "cost were frozen" is talking about inflation.

Say a Challenger tank cost £1m in 2024 but cost £1.04m that is 4% more expensive and £40,000 in cash .

The new money announced has to cover this inflation as well as provide money for new tanks. Some of the money is inflation with no new military capabilities..

This is how I understand the point

You are assessing it from only your point of view. You have paid in your dues but what have you and your dependent taken out? Free schooling free health care do not come cheap.

Fit taxpayers accept to carry the burden for the sick and old as well as the incarcerated as part of the community. Many jobs are not wealth creating.

The retirement age has increased in line with life expectancy. It was 70 thirty years ago and is now around 83. This has been dripping for the first time in modern history.

They apparently have a lot of clout on social media which the MSM should report on.

The fact that they represent a particularly nasty exploitative philosophy and Trump has applied pressure for their freedom is yet another 'red flag" that we are indeed in dangerous times. The mentality of our alley is suspect and not shared by us.

China is also planting billions of trees and reducing desertification.

Wales has a shocking colonial record. T E Lawrence and Stanley, Henry Morgan Bartholomew Roberts were from Wales. Welsh rugby has never apologised for playing rugby v Apartheid South Africa in recent times.

There is an abundance of Welsh surnames in the NFL testament of a major Welsh role in the slave trade. Derwen James is a safety for the Los Angeles Chargers team not a prop for the Ospreys.

You minimize the achievements and bad stuff on your ancestors. It's what you do.

Many of those struggling to heat their homes are home owners in houses that are very expensive. They are asset rich and cash poor. This is a choice in many cases. Many have even cleared their mortgages They want to be subsided to remain in the family home to maximise a very chunky inheritance for their children. Not all are like this of course but many are.

Poor families ars often the result of runaway fathers. At one time the state went after the father's to contribute to family funds. I gave lost track as to whether you the state still does this. I suspect not.

Drakeford is not scruffy and neither was Michael Foot at the Cenotaph all those years ago. It was a nasty cheap shot.

We can live cleanly or continue to be the "dirty man of Europe". The Scandinavians cared when we burned coal. Their forests were being ravaged by acid rain. We did the right thing and close our coal fired stations. In this matter at least we were good neighbours.

China and South east Asia will follow our lead because they want to be like us.

UK is living beyond its means with the national debt increasing every year. winters are very mild these days and most can turn down the heating to save money. There has barely been a frost in Neath.

People have been seduced by "cutting red tape" and "easing back on regulations". In real terms this includes shoving guano into the river to keep the price of KFCs down.

Today it emerges France has been negotiating over rare earth's for 6 months.

He is an English man slagging off limited Welsh self determination. Your family arrangement are irrelevant.

I go back to basics.

Fossil fuels are finite. They are energy stored in rock formed a long time ago. The sun's energy 300 m years ago converted the sun's energy back into Carbon. Releasing that carbon releases the heat energy from those days and puts the carbon back into the atmosphere. This is released not at a gradual rate but dumped in a hurry (geologically speaking All at once).

This is not good of course. Like anything like eating is it better not to overdo do it and have a spurge causing imbalances.

If you burn wood from a sustainable forest everything is in balance as absorbing is in balance with creation.

It is a philosophy.

The planet has the capacity to do this. Air transport is an exception possibly ships but most other things can be done using wind nuclear and solar.

No one is m being misled. The philosophy is clear. Chinese can build new coal fired station but are also planting billions of trees. Their people do not want to breath soot either.

It's a philosophy and not politics.

🔴 Likely candidates for the Swans job
at 15:28 27 Feb 2025

The stats reports must demonstrate on running and movements. There must be a holistic playing style picture the analysts can determine and explain to Montague and Coleman. It is a Laudrup way Swansea want to develop. Ronald Parker Ginnelly should b never be static.

It is an English tribal way of thinking. Nothing wrong with it actually. It adds the the atmosphere as long as it does not get out of hand.

I am Welsh And unapologetic for it. You use the word "us" I use the word "I".

I like beating the English and Swansea were very good at it for a decade. This is the way I roll. You belong to an English football way of thinking with h local rivalries trumping regional ones. You do not identify as Welsh too much. When English fans sing ethnic slurs you do not accept it is " you " or "us".targeted.

He seemed a bit of a beast to me in a 10 minute cameos I saw. He was not liked by Williams but the new man might be able to use him. You need to give him time to develop.

There is no one like him in Wales at all. Cullen is weak in the air and Vipotnik's goals have all been with his feet.

Reform Wales
at 16:48 26 Feb 2025

The WAG knew Port Talbot was going to shrink and lined up the Ineos factory in Bridgend ready to employ most of the workers made unemployed. Then NPT and Swansea voted Brexit and Radcliffe moved his factory to Toulouse.

Reform make things worse not better. Where are the USA and Asian jobs. The" sunny Brexit Uplands". Missing in action.
