A Leicester band who were just getting big when I arrived at the University. Chappo would regularly come into the Student Union bar, have a couple of pints, then leave a tenner for us students to have a pint on him. Loved the band ever since  |

5 months short of my 17th birthday, what a day that was. I had the commemorative tie, which I was told was made by a company owned by Dave Mackay. Wish I still had it, worth a pretty penny by now. |

I feel priviliged that I got to see Rodney and Stanley playing live. It does mean that I am now very old, but it was worth every minute. |

Apparently he could have had a cricket career with Warwickshire as a wicket keeper. When he was accepted for drama school, he asked his coach at Warwickshire, Tiger Smith, an old England keeper from the twenties, whether he should take it up, or stay with Warwickshire. "Go to drama school, lad", said Tiger. Good advice. |
