Stunned to hear this news.

Markus - thank you - for saving the club, for your genorosity and indeed for reinstilling the spirit of Southampton through your own clear, excitable enthusiasm for the Saints and the community.

Seeing you taking photos of the team at Wembley last season showed everyone that you were enjoying this just as much as we were, we were in it together and will remain a wonderful memory for many - hopefully including yourself. A proper gentleman and a proper Saint.

Thoughts are with the Liebherr family and friends.
