Dale v Bromley (FA Cup 1st Round) Match thread:
at 09:15 3 Nov 2024

Fastest I remember was Paul Connor v Huddersfield, around 19 seconds I think? Also sure we scored even earlier against Peterborough one year but not too sure on that.

There should have been someone around to assist as the queue was very very slow. I helped a few people put their screen to maximum brightness as I knew there had been issues with this before and they scanned first time then.

Also what's with the daft queuing system in Studds, it worked fine for over 20 years the way it was!

EGM - which way are you voting?
at 13:35 4 Mar 2024

At the moment I feel like we should vote yes to this but I can't help but feel this is a much worse choice than the EGM in 2021 which was thrown out. We could have had serious investment in the club & a training ground whilst we were a league 1 club. At least we weren't threatened with liquidation if we didn't vote it through back then.

The Bradford City game.

Aren’t all games technically all ticket since the end of cash turnstiles? Obviously always ways round it but you’d think lots of Bradford postcodes buying online would be noticed if that happened.

The ticketing couldn't really have waited as the clubs current online retail & ticketing provider is pulling out of the UK market in the next month so they had to get a new system in place regardless.

Nice one, managed to get Rochdale - Leeds for 20p return & then Leeds - Newcastle for £26.10 instead of £67 return via Manchester.

Hopefully beat the Spurs crowd as I imagine all the Geordies will actually turn up plus rows ABC in the Pearl St blocks W & X have been fixed & sold this time so it will be the fullest it's been in there since the Darlington play off game if everyone shows up.

Has it sold out yet?
at 18:33 2 Jan 2020

About 100 seats have been added online now available in the main stand & a chunk in Pearl St block z. I'd say we look on for 7,500-8,000 in total.

When they changed the category of the Bolton game they mentioned a reason that as it was part of the 4 for 3 ticket offer & the fact that it's Bolton's 3rd visit of the season.

I would assume that will be due to a couple of TV cameras taking out a few seats.

It’ll sell out in hours just as the Spurs game did, as long as we don’t mess with the price. We shifted over 5,000 home tickets for Stoke on a Monday night on tv & we played them numerous times in recent memory. A Saturday afternoon game v Newcastle is a massive draw.

Our initial allocation was just short of 8,000 so should be no reason why Dale fans who could only decide on the day shouldn't be able to buy as there will be just short of 2,500 empty seats in the away end.

There were none left when I went in at lunch time yesterday. Up in East Stand Block E331 now, upper tier holds 6,500.

When did we beat Chester 6-1, was that not after that, or does that not count cause it was 6?

We don't have an assistant manager, BBM was keen to explain this when he was appointed. Although I suppose Lee Riley is an assistant in all but title.

There is no £3 on the day increase for the higher category games as they will probably be all ticket & hence there won't be any match day sales.

Sunderland game - Question(s) for the Trust
at 16:55 31 Mar 2019

The reason given was that the safety authorities would not allow that as the main stand turnstiles are right next to the Sandy turnstiles & they did not want the two sets of fans entering in such close proximity.

Whilst in the real world it’s a lot of money in the grand scheme of League 1 its peanuts, highlighting just how hard this league is. This is the cost of trying to compete in League 1.
